The problem with that is Juan Mata though. He gets loads from set pieces for Chelsea as they are so good in the air. We're not. I still think he'll run him close though.

True, although Coutinho got half as many assists as Mata did last season despite playing around a 3rd of the amount of games.

there isnt much to chose between sturrdige and coutinho.

          both excellent signings.
for me, the decision is only just in the favour of sturridge.
i rated this guy even when torres was leaving and i was hoping we could get him in as part of that deal. his goals have been crucial, and he will only get better.
it has also been very encouraging to see him putting some graft in in other areas of the pitch, winning the ball back, and once he learns to set up his team mates if they are wide open then he could well go on to be immense for us.

          coutinho...
a true gem. future world class player, without a doubt.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Coutinho without question, gives us a completely different dimension and is a breath of fresh at LFC. Fabulous talent and hope he gets even better next year.

I still want to call him Cuntinho though, despite really really liking him

Did we really spend 10.4m on Borini?

Sturridge looks a really good buy but PC easily wins

I keep wanting to call him by his first name... which should by all rights be Ford.

Those summer signings were horrible, weren't they.

coutinho by miles for me. he really proved me wrong, but so did sturridge, but as Muddled already mentioned, phil "has been a little more consistent". great buy, i hope he stays fit now.

A boy from Brazil for me.

Given the initial investment, his age, what he showed so far and amount of potential he has to be a top, top player I couldn't pick anybody else.

I think Coutinho will be the best signing long term, he has been impressive so far and if he continues to improve he'll be some player but I think in terms of impact this season Sturridge's 10 goals and 5 assists in 14 PL games takes some beating.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                                Borini.

                                Nice, inoffensive lad.
