Simon Mignolet

There's a good article on Mignolet in the Guardian today. Probably little is known of the fact that he holds a degree in political science and speaks five languages. When you think that some people call him 'simple Simon' on here, pejoratively of course, it shows some people's complete ignorance about him.

As has already been said in this thread, he's admitted he overthinks things and that leads to indecision. If anything, reading that he's got a degree gives me less confidence in him. I'd rather he was thick as pig**** but decisive.

He may be clever, but lots of clever people dither and it's an unappealing trait in a keeper.

Christ, it's a mocking rhyme. Calamity James, Simple Simon, it's all the same thing. If he caught a few ****ing balls once in a while he might crawl his was way back up nickname ladder to something like Magnethands Mignolet or Migs Blessings. That's kind of up to him though. He should thank his lucky stars that it's not something like You Useless Flapping **** because that's what I'm shouting at the screen most of the time I can see him.
