Thanjk you.

He has made really good progress. I'd like to see us keep a settled back four to see if the communication improved which appears a real weakness for us at times.

Great point, when you consider the lack of continuity in front of him in terms of both personnel and formation it makes his form at a new club even more impressive
the shot was angled, mignolet had to change his hand position and swipe at it to try and palm it over the bar. he only managed to get a slight contact on the ball, but it was clear he was struggling to make a late adjustment.
you really couldnt class it as a mistake. golaies will always concede odd goals.
some people have a short memory. some of the howlers that pepe was dealing out were shockers.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
He jumped and he didn't need to ,ball hit his hand on his way back down to earth hence the poor connection with it,If he stood still and put both hands up its an easy catch, there was almost an identical one second half from Negredo again and he did exactly that-easy save.
He's defo deserved some leeway though,he's earned us points on more than one occasion this season, like I say how he reacts will tell us a lot about him.
I think he expected to get lobbed with a decent effort rather than have one spannered straight at him. He gave Negredo too much credit i think. It was clearly a mistake though.

IMO great shot stopper and very agile. A lot of people were saying (Sunderland supporters too) before we signed him that he doesn't catch the ball and if there is a corner/set piece or cross majority of the time he will opt to punch.. rather than catch.
That was before he signed for us and it seems fairly spot on. Does flap bait at times. I do worry about his distribution in particular, he looks so uncomfortable on the ball and he panics no end with the ball at his feet. In saying all this.... he hasn't really had a settled back 4 in front of him the whole season. We have been forced to change across the whole back line all to regularly.. which breeds uncertainty in any defence.
There is a distinct lack of continuity and organisation back there & surely that has to impact Mignolet? Not making excuses as such but surely it has to play a part. Anyways.. for me he started off brilliantly but his performances and confidence seems to have dipped recently & he has been making individual errors. Hopefully when we actually do manage to cement a regular and consistent back 4.. we will see him back to his best.
I don't see not catching as an issue, many of the best keepers these days go that way. However, his positioning for and reactions to high balls is a concern.
Personally I think he's okay but not great. Has potential though and his distribution is improving. Like you say Dan a consistent back four in front of him would help.

He just doesn't seem commanding enough yet. Perhaps that's got something to do with regularly changing personnel in front of him, I dunno. I have more faith in him though to pull off tough saves than I did in Reina latterly. That save yesterday, after the ****e 3rd goal he let in, was sensational.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
Still feel more confident with him in goal than I did towards the end of Reina's time.
Far better shot stopper than Pepe of the past 3 or 4 seasons and with regards the catching side of things Pepe rarely did that and punched most of the time.
I'm confident we've picked up a few more points than we would have with Pepe in goal this season
