If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Having a brilliant season and improving as it goes on.

That save from Fernandinho in the first half is underrated. Thought that was a goal.

That is true, however he did create the dangerous situation by flapping at the corner. Hence I would've been extremely disappointed with him if he didn't make amends. [If I'm thinking of the right situation]

yep yep you are. I guess that was what pleased me. Instead of falling into a downward spiral after his flapping mistake, he managed to pull off a great save.

I thought that as well, but it was actually a different passage of play, hence my deleted post above.

I still think his game intelligence is lacking, there are times when the defender is waiting for him to come out and clear the danger and he stays on his line resulting in a hoofed ****ting by the defender.

He does need to learn that he is a defender as well as goalkeeper.

He has improved the last 4 weeks or so. Comes out more now. Needs to work on his timing when he goes out to punch the ball, but he's relieving a lot of pressure from the defenders at the moment.
                  Are we winning?

he's a lot to learn. for me he looks hesitant coming off his line - he just doesnt look comfortable when he comes out. his kicking needs a lot of work although its miles better than what it was at the start of the season.

on the positive side brilliant at stopping shots, excellent levels of concentration.

we dont really play a high line like we did under rafa so a keeper that comes out and clears probably isnt high up our list of priorities. What he needs to do better is to look to start counters quickly and more effectively. His distribution needs to be better.

He's great at reacting to things but not so great when he's got to make decisions. He looks the quiet type as well. One instance, he was trying to organise his wall for a freekick and despite him shouting for a minute, no one noticed.

no doubts he's a top class shot stopper

he's young, he's got great potential

he is still a bit flappy and still can't kick - but i think it's a little bit in his head as much as anything - i think him, more than anyone is feeling the pressure a bit. If he can keep it together these next few games and we win the league then i think next season we will see him as an even better keeper.

I think we are guilty of neglecting the importance of some of the saves he's made for us. There's no way we'd still be in this title race without him.

He has saved us a HUGE number of points this season IMO. I'm delighted with him, although we all know he has areas he needs to improve. I have confidence that he will though, he's going to get better and better.

He comes across as nowhere near as assured as Reina but the fact is THE MIG is a fabulous shot stopper and consistent makes top class saves.

His unhurried distribution has improved as the season has gone on too, obviously still needs work on coming for crosses and what he does with the ball when he's under pressure.

He's certainly been a contributing factor for why we've got as many points as we have so far this season. The pen save on the first day of the season all the way to some of the stops he made on Sunday which allowed us to take the 3 points.

He's not perfect and needs to improve on some aspects of his game but he for me is a far superior shot stopper than the Reina of the past few seasons and was an upgrade on what we had in goal.
