Mignolet is the best keeper in the league. Wouldn't swop him. That doesn't make him perfect, its just all keepers have their flaws. Ours has less than most. I don't like his squashed face though, Van Gaal lovechild possibly.

Why does Courtois have to be testing in the premier league to be considered top keeper?Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostCourtois is untested over here, Cech wears a ****ing hat and the other bloke is soiled goods.
Sure he's ahead of Mig in the national side anyways & is considered one of the best keepers in the game. De Gea & Cech even with his scrum cap are better than Mignolet.
There could also be a case for Begovic & Lloris too. Mignolet is a decent keeper but at the moment IMO he is far from being the best in the league.

In Europe keepers tend to get an easier ride of things, they get freekicks for having a pair of gloves on their hands, whereby over here things can get a little more physical. He won't of encountered the likes of Stoke and West Ham too often. That's not to say he won't pass those tests with flying colours, he is as you say the number one for Belgium. But one game into a first season in English football, he is very much in the 'untested' camp thus far.
Cech was great, got his head kicked in and now has some great games but the consistency isn't there. He's made some right old howlers these last few years. The hat makes him look clownish, get the **** out of it.
The other chap is soiled, dirty having played for the filth, he's pretty much beyond cleansing so thereby I wouldn't swop our Simon for him.
Mignolet is going to be the beast this year. He's only going to get better. We have 3 points thanks to him already, one game in.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde
