Hopefully the ink in every pen has run out in the entire city of Liverpool, please god. Madness to give him a 5 year deal. His constant mistakes really cost us badly.

Agreed. Also his being **** is a bit of an issue
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

        Off the BBC....

        Mignolet on borrowed time

Liverpool keeper Simom Mignolet is poised to sign a new five-year contract at Anfield and has won the consistent backing of manager Klopp despite his fragile form.

And yet he was once again a very obvious weakness behind a Liverpool defence that was an accident waiting to happen for large portions of this enthralling game.

The 27-year-old Belgian was beaten too easily inside his near post when Ramsey equalised Firmino's opener, then was hopelessly stranded as Giroud's faint touch allowed a corner to sneak in. It was desperately poor keeping.

For all Klopp's public assurances - he would not do otherwise - he must surely be concerned at Mignolet's obvious frailty, alongside the glaring inadequacy of his deputy Adam Bogdan, as proved by his errors at Watford and Exeter City.

Liverpool have recalled 22-year-old Welsh keeper Danny Ward from a successful loan spell at Aberdeen so he is now in the mix - but Klopp has to consider a more reliable, experienced long-term solution after Mignolet's latest blunders.
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

I've never been a fan of Mignolet and if we can find someone better and more commanding, we should replace him. Finding that keeper is another thing though.
          Are we winning?

Has anyone actually watched Ward at Aberdeen?
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

              .

Like Bogdan, anyone but Mignolet in goal.

Kloppo has set the bar with his bombing out of Bogdan. He should do the same with Mignolet.

Give Ward the rest of the season to show if he can be number one or not and then take the appropriate action in the summer.

Has he actual signed this contract yet? There is no way a 5 year deal should happen, it's madness. I've never seen a keeper that gets so flustered and loses it, one mistake and its like a panic switch. He does our defence no favours at all & vice versa.

Yeah, I have watched him a fair few times this season, I posted a bit about him in the Bogdan thread. He's been excellent - great on one on ones, good distribution, seems calm and confident. He has made some stunning saves, and was very popular with the fans.

...and he can't possibly be any worse than this ****ing chancer. Mignolet has had enough chances now - time to cut this **** loose.

Also, this is the bull**** I hate about stats. Stats would say he's one of the top keepers when he's clearly ****ing not.

                          stats can be so deceiving.

Stats tell plenty of stories, take David James for example - he had the records for most clean sheets and most goals ever conceded at the same time. For every clean sheet record Mignolet has, he still has made the most errors leading to goals in the premier league too

Yeah they keep banging on about most clean sheets in a season or great shot stopper. He failed to stop two very saveable shots tonight and cost us the game. He does that far more often than making a good save that wins us points like the top keepers.

He needs the boot but is unlikely to get it until the summer.

Need to see it again but it looked like Giroud's touch diverted the ball away from goal and that Mig diverted it back in to his own net. Genuine candidate for an own goal
