Shame, forgot about that. The only reason the FA Cup game was keeping me interested. I heard Barnsley beat Blackpool (article about Ince sacking), wonder how he did.

As for Brad Smith, saw the interview on LFC-Now last night. He was stunned to come on against Chelsea and showed that his mind wasn't ready. Found the speed of the game difficult to adjust to, that's the kind of exposure some of our youngsters need.
    One tit for another.

Yeah. He's the one who's purported to be our first ever Indian player, when apparently he's pretty much English...2nd or 3rd gen.

                    Chelsea v Liverpool U21s
                    14 Feb 2014, KO: 19:05

Alex Inglethorpe's side play only their second game of 2014 when they take on Chelsea at Cobham.

The game kicks-off at 7.05pm GMT and you can watch the match live on LFC TV and LFC TV Online.

Inglethorpe's U21s have scored an impressive 34 goals from just 11 appearances this season and in their last outing produced a superb display to beat a strong Arsenal team 4-2 away from home.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

TODAY (Wednesday February 19) the young Hornets take on Liverpool in the Fifth Round of the FA Youth Cup at Vicarage Road.

The Reds’ squad currently sit third in the Barclays Under-18 Premier League North, but sit eight points behind their Merseyside rivals, Everton, in second.

The FA Youth Cup journey for Neil Critchley’s squad started in December with a Third Round fixture against Blackpool.

It ended all square after 90 minutes as goals from Jordan Ibe were twice cancelled out by the hosts.

It then took an extra-time strike from Hemel Hempstead-born midfielder Sheyi Ojo to rescue the tie after Blackpool took a shock lead, sending them to penalties.

Goalkeeper Ryan Crump was the hero that night, saving twice to clinch a 4-3 win at Bloomfield Road.

Last month both Liverpool and the Golden Boys notched 3-1 wins in their Fourth Round matches. Critchley’s side overcame Aston Villa thanks to a brace from promising youngster Harry Wilson.

Meanwhile, Dave Hughes watched his team eliminate cup holders Norwich with help from a wonderful strike by Scotland youth international George Byers.

The winners of this match will go on to play Reading in the Sixth Round proper, with a Semi-Final spot up for grabs at home to Manchester City, Fulham or Huddersfield Town.

                          KEY PLAYER: Harry Wilson

In October 2013, at the age of 16 years and 207 days old, Wilson became the youngest player to ever represent Wales – beating the previous record set by Gareth Bale.

With a playing style a lot like the Real Madrid star, it’s no surprise that he has burst onto the radar of English clubs at every level. His quickness on the ball and ability to play anywhere across the front line has made him a key part of Liverpool’s youth setup this season.

He scored in both of Liverpool’s earlier matches in the FA Youth Cup, and has notched 10 goals in all competitions so far this season.

Ended up 2-0 to us, Wilson and Trickett-Smith.

Liverpool's U18s produced a highly impressive display to beat Watford 2-0 in the FA Youth Cup on Wednesday night and seal their spot in the last eight of the elite youth competition.

Both Liverpool goals - scored in either half by Daniel Trickett-Smith and Harry Wilson - were created by surging runs along the right flank by inspirational captain Connor Randall.

After a dominant first-half display, the pressure finally told with the opener on 39 minutes, when the skipper's run concluded with his low cross being converted by the excellent Trickett-Smith.

Attacking trio Ryan Kent, Trickett-Smith and Wilson all went close to increasing that advantage in the second period, before the latter eventually added a second in the 77th minute.

The decisive effort - the Welsh international's 10th goal of a very productive season - arrived courtesy of another incisive dribble and pull-back by Randall to ensure progress.

In a further boost for Neil Critchley's side, striker Jerome Sinclair returned from an injury lay-off to feature for the final 15 minutes of the clash at Vicarage Road.

The young Reds, who reached the semi-final stage last season, now face a trip to Reading in the quarter-finals of the competition. The date for that tie has yet to be confirmed.

The Reds' XI in full: Fulton, Randall, Maguire, Williams, Jones, Rossiter, Wilson, Brannagan, Kent (Sinclair), Trickett-Smith (Chirivella), Ojo.
