I disagree completely, we do have the squad we just need to sort out the mentality and push players to work harder

United will struggle under Moyes, I would not be surprised if they drop out the top 4, they performed well above their level last season. Look at their squad, its full of mince

I think we are only 2 players short now. A commanding CB and and we need a Mkhtaryan type player who can drive forward through the middle of the park (Either that or Gerrard of 2005 to reappear)

        4th place.

We'll be nowhere near it though.

More points than last season and continuation of the progress we've seen on the pitch. That'll do me really.

Genuine challenge for a top 4 place and a decent run in the cups.

Oh and some improvement in the team shape when we lose the ball.

5th place would be a great achievement. I'm not bothered about EL whatsoever, but it would show that we're improving.

I would love to see us being more consistent.

Plus I would love us to learn how to finish games off/hold on to a win, United haven't had the strongest squad for a while but they know how to get points (I'm hoping this has left with DBF).

Get the team to gel, there will be a fair few changes
At least 1 good cup run given we have no Europe
Probably no lower than 6th and closing the gap on the top 4

5th or 6th at a minimum, better if possible.
take the cup games seriously. do not field 'weakened' teams. assert a winning mentality, always.

i want to see us become much more ruthless and take every opportunity to slam a bucket full of goals in, and not just against norwich.
we need to be less reliant on our main striker, whoever that is, and get more goals from the wingers and midfield.

if any of the kids are going to get game time it needs to be towards the end of a game when it has already been won, as starting with them has sometimes cost us games and points. its no good trying to retrieve the situation by bringing gerrard and suarez on for the last 15 minutes...
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Depends on what happens in this transfer window.

If we lose Suarez and Reina and don't bring in some experience/proven goalscorers we'll struggle to better last season.
                        We come not to play.

Less concerned with where we finish as opposed to how we finish.

Scenario a) It's a tight season, we challenge the leaders until May and finish 5th.
Scenario b) We're out of it by December and finish 3rd.

                          Give me a) please.

Though in saying that I think we need to qualify for the CL to improve our prospects of signing / keeping players, so it's a strong desire, but not really an expectation on Brendan.

Fact is there's a lot more competition for top 6 spots now. I think it's a bit unrealistic at this stage in our development to expect anything other than top 6. It's possible, sure, but it can't be taken as a given.

For me we have to at least finish top six and make a genuine challenge for top four. If we don't finish in the top 6 this year something is seriously wrong.

Maybe this is a but much but given it has been so long since we made CL I'd be really disappointed if we didn't make it again, I want to see us take a big step forward and I think if we don't do it this year it could take us 3 or 4 more years to get back in the top 4.

Anything can happen in the cups so I'm not going to include them in expectations, obviously to win a cup would be nice and I do feel we need a decent run in the cups to give some of the youngsters/squad players experience/game time.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                                B. for me. TBH, I would prefer finishing 3rd to 5th, and concentrate on our style of play again the season after, in the Champions league!

Don't care how we play this season if we finish 3rd, because the step forward it can give us is enourmous. imo.

All it would mean is that the top 2 ran away with the league, i could handle that if 3rd spot went to us.
