Like most have said already, this will be a really tough game for us and I'm expecting no change in the line up. They do play tomorrow though so hopefully come the 2nd half they will be leggy because a lot of their game is based on energy and trips to Arsenal and Chelsea followed up by us within 8/9 days will take some effort.

By the way has anyone heard Lambert come out and say the FA are conspiring against Villa? Can't think of many tougher starts to a season for any club

I'm slightly worried about Villa at home. We're favourites (rightly so), but Benteke will definitely be a threat. We didn't look overly comfortable with balls into the box against Stoke, and Benteke could definitely punish us. Hopefully Toure puts in a big performance to keep him quiet. Agbonlahor also looks in top form. Don't know - I just have a bad feeling they will cause us problems.

We haven't won our opening 2 games in 18 years apparently! I'm feeling a touch pessimistic today so I'm going to go for a 2-2 draw.

I think Aspas should definitely start ahead of Sterling. Sterling seems best suited to when the opposition are playing a high line (when he can utilise his pace). As Neil said, Villa tend to play on the counter, which means they'll be defending fairly deep. I think Aspas would be better suited to help us pick our way past a tight defence. Maybe even Alberto if things are looking bleak.

Given that Cissokho only just joined I would keep the same starting team as we had against Stoke.

If Cissokho is better in the air than Enrique then I'd be tempted to start him but otherwise keep the team unchanged.

If we assume that Benteke is going to win most of the first ball we need to ensure he can't find his teammates. We coped well with Crouch last week so that should give us confidence, even if Benteke is more physical than lanky Pete.

We should certainly trouble them at the back, Sturridge clearly struggled towards the end of the Stoke game - his lack of pre-season catching up with him. He'll be a week fitter, add in the promise of the link-up play between him, Aspas and lil'Phil and I see GOALS!.

                      At which end?
                      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Incredible that anyone believes it when so much reference has been made to 08-09 when we won the first 2.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
