I would like to see that given a go tbh. Both front footed defenders who wouldn't back off as much - and both have pace to help rectify any mistakes/enable us to hold a higher line if needed. And both can't be as poor as the two clowns we're playing at the moment.

      clearly Rodgers doesn't want him
Now does that mean the move to Sunderland specifically? If he rejects it does he get the chance to stake a claim?

Turned down the Sunderland move because it is too cold

Perhaps he's looking at the two incumbents and thinking if he sticks around he'll get a chance.

Resist it Tiago! Tell Rodgers you will risk a quiet season and take the chances when they come.

maybe he thinks if Brendan gets the bullet, then every player will start with a clean slate under the new manager..... if I was advising the guy, then I would be pushing for a loan at a PL club until christmas......

If he stays surely he has to get game time in the League cup and Europa League? Also after being loaned out so much I guess he wants a chance to show the manager what he is capable of, if I were him I would be worried about getting moved on next summer without having a chance at LFC, looking at the defending at the weekend he probably fancies his chances.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                    Who wouldn't?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Not the worst idea in the world. A mid table PL club would be where we would ideally be looking to loan out any of our younger players.

Plus Tactics Tim doesn't really play hoof ball as he is such an astute football genius - the chance for a young player to be guided by him is an opportunity too good to pass up.

It only makes sense if he is going to get game time will that be the case at Villa?

Villa do seem pretty light at CB, might be worth a punt.

How about we play the cunt if we're so intent on him getting first team action

Not sure Rodgers is keen on him or willing to give him playing time.
