Yep.

It's not perfect but then what is. It enables us to get Suarez and Sturridge playing up front and with Coutinho behind them. To have two to aim at would be great for Coutinho and us. We still have numbers in midfield and can play three strong centre backs. I like it and hope we persist on Sunday.

At the end of the game I didn't know if it was Kelly playing right back or Toure.

But yeah, it looks like it could work okay going forward. It's just like Juventus

Aye, Johnson and Coutinho are key to this system and we've certainly got the centrebacks for it too. In fact, it's the most suited system for our current squad.

He must IMO play the same system week in week out the next few months.
The reason is that we must get a system to fall back on when we play bad football and not like it is now, when we play bad then we stinks.

Every player must learn what they should do out there in almost every situation. Takes a lot longer time to learn that if you change system as often as we done this season.

Learn a basic system first and take it from there.

I thought the system worked well last night but I can't believe this is the way Brendan wants to play , It doesn't fit players like Sterling,Ibe, Moses and the like , All Summer Brendan was trying to sign a wide lefty Forward and that turned out to be Moses ,I'm not sure whether the changes was to accommodate Suarez & Sturridge or to accommodate an expensive signing at the back , On form Skittles and Toure are the 2 center backs , It's a good option to have but I'm not sure it's a change of philosophy .

however.....now i've read this discussion of him being selfish i say burn! burn yo all to hell!

Why does our 'preferred' formation have to suit a 17 year old, an 18 year old and someone on loan who won't be here next season?

We're playing 3 at the back because we don't have fit full backs.
Johnson crocked for another 3-4 weeks, Kelly is still finding his way back, Wisdom isn't good enough in possession or high up the pitch and Enrique is bang average brain dead squad player who also happens to have dicky knee/s and Cissokho is injured.

It's no tactical masterplan it's playing a system to suit the players available, we should have done it home to Southampton and we will probably continue with it until he had full backs to choose.
