Reina is the whole package where as Scott Carson isn't IMHO. I never rated Kirkland and I don't think Carson is much better. I prefer keepers like Reina who are quite quick and agile that can get about their goalmouth. Guys like Carson and Kirkland just simply aren't good at that.

I think you are harsh on Carson. I think he needs more experience though. I deally I would want him to play behind a defence that played a similar way to our own and that was not struggling. It is easy to look good in a poor team as a keeper, the real test is to be able to pull of the one important save when you have had sod all to do all game.

I don't think I'm being to harsh to be honest. I'm not slating the guy I just don't think that he has got the required ability to play at the top level. He will do well for a lesser side but for us I don't ever see him being anything more than 2nd choice. Reina is by far the better keeper and we shouldn't be considering selling him, if the story is true.

According to the offie site, he's 6'2".

Shay Given is one of the best keepers in the premiership & he's only about 5'11".

I think Reina's form has improved in the last 5 or 6 matches & I think you're being overly harsh on him blaming him for the first goal. Each of the 3 goals, in my opinion, was the defense' fault (not the goalkeeper).

I don't think that anyone has seen enough of him to say anything other than that he has not yet developed into a top keeper and that he is a top shot stopper. Keepers take longer than other players to mature and writing of any young keeper of talent who has played much less than a season of first team football seems harsh to me.

It's not a matter of experience it's a matter of his quality IMHO. Have you seen some of the goals he has conceded this season? There have been some terriblemistakes by the lad, much worse than some of Pepe's, My intention is not to slag the guy off I just feel that i'm making a fair observation based on the lad as a keeper.

Slight knock, bit of blood on the shin, should be OK for Holland.
