Sterling was by far the week link today. He needs it get his head down a cut out all the bollocks distractions around his life or he's going to blow it big time. I know he got us a pen but a lot of our attacking play broke down with him giving the ball away. Not sure about him any more.

been saying it for a while ibe would offer a lot more at the moment than sterling

if gerrard is struggling then rodgers needs to have the man strength to sub him after 10-15 minutes of the second half.
it might give gerrard the nudge he needs and also show the rest of the team that no one is 'safe' unless they are giving everything on the pitch.

We tend to **** up against the lesser sides and we've done okay this season so far. If we can still get positive results against the better teams then who knows?

Wasn't tho opposite way last season? Did well against the lesser teams, but struggled against the better ones.
And the way the table is now there are only lesser teams

Sterling needs to work as hard as he can to ensure he's not the next Shaun Wright Phillips or Pennant. So overhyped it's untrue (England caps etc). He has big potential obviously but he's shown little for a while.

yeah watching this game last night there is alot of hype around him and not alot to merit that hype,maybe he needs a season long loan .....get the feeling the luxury life style is gonna gobble him up

I expected Sturridge to get hooked at HT last night & Aspas brought on. Ibe should get a look in soon hopefully.

Wow Arn, while I agree that Gerrard is causing issues with his lack of energy, I don't think its a lack of effort or laziness thats the problem. He looks like time has caught up with him. His style of play in his earlier career might have taken its toll. He looks old and tired come the middle of the second half.

I do agree that he could be subbed off but that isn't going to happen.

As for the comment on Gerrard above. It must be trying to prolong his career for the reason he is now a deeper lying player but I have to agree that at times he just seems to be strolling around the pitch. Again it may be a fitness thing but it is worrying when you are watching him. When he has the ball he has been knocking it about excellently at times and really gets the play going. Maybe we should put him on the same diet as Jordan the Tank Engine

No he wasn't doing anything wrong at all. I just thought we might rest him ( feign injury) & give Aspas some time with Suarez.

Oh I see. I would have been surprised as him and Suarez need to keep building their partnership. I see you reasoning though. It's why I expected Alberto to come on at half time. Especially when he started warming up during the break.

I don't think Moses works in the middle and to be honest I would have made any sub to get Sterling off. I'd have put put Brad Jones at wingback to be honest!

I thought Alberto did well when he came on. We kept the ball much better.
