Not for this game. If we went for 3 at the back again, I'd be happy with Moses on the right and Hederson or Gerrard playing in his position.

Kelly could be a surprise inclusion though, he must be nearing full fitness. Although again, I'd have my concerns with that.

Think attack will be the best form of defence for us in this game, so I'd like as many attacking outlets as possible on the pitch.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

But of we are thinking attack attack attack surely that's Sterlings strength no?

I think for weaker teams such as Palace at home Sterling would be a good bet, but against the toons and against Remy and Ben Arfa, I'd go for someone more 'robust in the challenge' like Henderson or Moses.

My suggested proposal was in reply to Reets suggestion of attack attack attack. With 3 CB's Sterling would hopefully spend more time attacking than defending.

Personally I would opt for Sterling in a 3412 rather than Toure in a back 4. I do think Sterling would get roasted by Remy and Santon though, so that’s why I would go for Moses if Johnson isn’t available. Moses may too get roasted, but at least he won’t be pushed off the ball as easily.

Have to agree. I think Wisdom wouldn't be bullied though if that was the main criteria. We won't though.

I feel Sterling can potentially be a kick-ass wingback in waiting, but without the necessary maturity in the position, his lack of experience will be exploited by the likes of Remy, Ben Arfa, powerful and tricky runners.

IMO the modern wingback is one of the hardest positions to master. Basically, the entire flank is your responsibility.

Yeah Newcastle away isn't the time to play him there I agree. I can't wait for this match as it's on at 945pm Saturday night.

Yep, far too long without us winning!

as long as its 3 points I'm cool about the wait. A good performance would be great but 3 points is all that really matters.

As I said earlier this may work to our advantage if it causes a backlog of missed matches over the teams playing in Europe? Just saying?

How do you mean? Club matches aren't scheduled the same weeks as internationals so how would they affect anything?

Yeah but doesn't it mean that all teams will have to play those matches mid week? So the teams playing in Europe will have more 2 matches in a week scenarios?
