Players like Allen etc to step it up.

If we can get 8 out of 12 I'd be delighted.

I think the next two games are our best chance of picking up 6 of them.

8 points from those games and I'd be ecstatic! If we did that we'd be in with a huge shout for the title. I'd settle for 5 or 6 in reality.

IF we beat Spurs this weekend - it would be massive, with Arsenal travelling away to Man City. There is a genuine possibility of us being only 2 points off top after the weekends games.

I think we'd have to regard ourselves as serious title contender if we beat Spurs and City. I can live with getting beaten by Chelsea but I think if we defend well, their defence is pretty ****.

Yeah, me too. 36 points after 19 games would put us on for a 72 point season, an improvement of 11 points on last year (and 20 points on when BR took over) and a total which would only have just missed out the top 4 twice since football began (c. sky sports). I'd find it very hard to be anything other than satisfied with that, and certainly anything more than that would be a massive (and unexpected) bonus.

Let's hope the management aren't treating the Cardiff game as a given

Three draws would obviously be preferable to one win and two losses?

i think the next four games will tell us how close we really are to becoming challengers for top four.

chelsea, city and spurs all have better squads so we have to clever in our approach to the games. if we take them on man for man we will lose so i think this is where the manager earns his money.

we are expected to beat the lesser sides because man for man we have a better team but its how we perform against better sides that shows the savvy of the man in charge.

3 from Cardiff and at least half the points from the other games are a must if we want to consider ourselves real contenders.

7 points would be a great statement of intent. Anything more and I would be over the moon.

I don't you can always apply that logic, if the second half of the season goes the same way as the first then we'll finish second behind Arsenal.

Only 1 time in last 5 years 4th placed team needed more points than 72 to qualify for CL.

In addition, it should be notied that we are the only team that played or it will be playing all away games vs top 7 team (with an exception of Man U game) away in the first half of the season so in the 2nd half we should be in a good position to accummulate even more points than in the first half.

Liverpool are going to win the league. I've got £200 on it. You can close this thread now.

Blown wide open now. Arsenal are letting it slowly slip away.

Next four games will show how far we can go. Three defeats & a win wouldn't see end of top 4 hopes, but I'd write of any chance of a finish higher than that.

If we want to win the title, we need to beat Spurs & Cardiff and avoid defeat at City and the Bridge. Achieve that & there is no reason we couldn't win the league. I would actually say we had a serious chance of winning it.
