The devil is in the detail. I was just as 'nervous' yesterday watching this game as I have been watching us. The idiot Giroud finally managed to score a proper goal. Now if Everton can get a draw tonight they'll be ahead on goal difference. Which means they CANNOT afford to take the City game lightly.

Win tonight and it gives Arsenal less chance to slip up in their remaining games. So I'd rather Everton draw tonight to keep the vice like grip on their balls.

hahaa i've been doing the same analysis

plus there is city vs sunderland - please god let sunderland get something - can't see it, i guess city will batter them - but you never know. maybe a little jaded mentally/physically after our game, maybe sunderland put up a bit of a fight for their life

i fully expect a city win though

i've just realised copa del rey final tonight - so going to watch that to give me my football fix but distract me from league goings on
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Borini and Sunderland players have two remaining big games to show other prem teams they are good enough to play in the prem (whether Sunderland stay up or not). I'm hoping they will fight hard for personal targets if not the team.

City will most likely batter them, but Chelsea go to Sunderland and that's where we need Chelsea's prem dream to die so they can focus on the CL.

I couldn't give a toss about the Copa Del Rey, I'm too focused.

Moses is lazy and ****. I hope he doesn't start any of the remaining fixtures.

Unfortunately, Chelsea are at home to Sunderland.

Do you really think any player / manager / team goes to a football game and doesn't try and win? I doubt any player doesn't give it their all as soon as they take to the field as adrenaline takes over. To even suggest this as a reason (unless they are throwing it for a financial gain) I think is daft.

Aye, I dont see Everton throwing it deliberately- think that is silly. However, if they have something tangible to play for they will be much more motivated and be much tougher opponents.
                3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Everton will be a tough game for Man City, on current form they're as good as any other team in the premiership bar ourselves.

Yes, plenty. Might be far more rife in others countries but anyone thinking Everton try their hardest in that game if theyve nothing to play for is deluding themselves. They'll put in as much effort as we did in that 0-2 v Chelsea or Lazio did v Inter in that 0-2 (who's fans also cheered the Inter goals and held up banners saying "OOH NOOOOOO" as they were in a title race v Roma). Lucas's old club Gremio rolled over on the last day to stop Internacional winning the league a few years back etc etc. Theres 10s and 10s of examples. It's natural.

Luckily its out of their hands at the moment anyway and theres a decent chance Everton will still be playing for something too.

City won't be relishing playing against Everton. Everton have won 8 of their last 10 games, City only 6.

                          nope i'm not suggesting that

but - had arsenal lost last night, everton won tonight and one or two other results gone against arsenal/for everton

then come the city come it could have been easily conceivable that'd they'd have 4th sewn up and not have the same effort to go for it with nothing to play for

Goodison is a graveyard for City. They are dreading going there.

city's record against sunderland is poor too, one win in 5.

It's Chelsea I despise and can see lifting it if we don't win all our games.

Can see them boring their way to the title if we slip up.
