Seriously the chance to get into the champions leagues, decent money to finally spend on players and to move the club on. but no some people really think that Bill Kenwright and Roberto Martinez is plotting to throw the game just so Liverpool might not win the league. Utter rubbish. they might lose because they are **** but they won't lose because they not going to try to win or get something from the game.Last edited by cannotmakeit; 28-04-14, 09:11 AM.

By next season I hope we'll have made quite a few additions!Originally posted by Liverpool View PostI think theres no way we will be able to compete on all fronts next season, we should throw the league cup, the fa/europa league if it comes to it

You don't know that. It's not been determined yet. You're just convincing yourself of it because you're too much of a coward to face getting your hopes up only for them to be dashed again. Don't worry, you're not alone in that one though, Sarb is trying the same trick.Originally posted by meffin View PostI'm over it now. Was absolutely gutted and drained yesterday, ended up falling out with the Mrs cos i was in a bad mood
She actually summed it up really well (especially as a non footballing watching person). She said that we were the only team that tried, we tried everything but they juts had too many people back at all times and they got 2 fluky goals.
I know that we won't win the league now- but i never let myself believe we would anyway.
Do you know what the most annoying thing was about the match? With all the ****ing time wasting they did, both their goals came in injury time

We need Newcastle to get something tonight to make them think they've still got a sniff for fourth...Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostNo chance, you're totally wrong on that one. It was all reverse psychology, playing it doen, thinking we would lose games etc because I honestly believed this was our season. The players huddles etc, i thought we would win the title this season. Im not going to hide it. Im totally devastated. Worst ive felt in ages
I seeiously dont see City dropping points and I hope none of our players nor manager come out and talk about Everton doing us a favour

Too right man...Originally posted by Nigey View PostAll we need is for them to draw one game out of the three. Then it's back in our hands again. We can't throw in the towel yet.

Of course we can still win it, but all things being equal, we probably wont now, that's just how some feel about it.
Sure we can still have hope, and even the most depressed doom monger will still cling to that, regardless of what they may say.
But that doesn't alter the position we now find ourselves in, we need a miracle.
The one last hope i have, is that football throws up stories, i fully expected a hic up in these last couple of games, and i regain the faint hope that although at the moment things do indeed look lost, it's just fates way of making us work for our dreams, and on the 25th anniversary of Hillsborough we will indeed win the damn title, and by some weirder quirk of fate, it's is indeed the Bitters, enemies in football, allies in grief, who help deliver it..

. We just need them to draw one of their three remaining games. They probably won't as they're all winnable, but given the pressure, it would hardly be a miracle if they drew one of them.

yup feeling the same - but still clinging on to some hope.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI am absolutely gutted and deflated, but I refuse to accept defeat yet. Everton fans will want them to throw it next week but no way will Martinez be of the same mindset.
arsenal play tonight? a draw or arsenal lose would be nice, to keep everton going
what's really hurt me though is the amount of everton fans i know who have been 'nice' - the past few weeks/months -
amount of times i've heard "i hate to say this being a blue, but you've been the best team and deserve it and i hope you go on and win it"
and now all of them are "hahaha **** off you scum bags...gerrard's **** and bottled it, you're **** and your fans are a disgrace"i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

We hardly need a miracle.
Just City to drop two points. Hardly a miracle that. A miracle would be if we've got to get 7 points when we only have 6 to play for. Remember that City's slip up vs Sunderland allowed us to be in our current position. So they can slip up again. Away to Everton won't be an easy game by any stretch of the imagination.
Are we winning?
