That's precisely why they want us to fail. Anyone can throw money it and win, so it's easier for them to swallow. They cannot stand to see us being successful 'the right way'. It would be unbearable for them. Tbh I'm laughing at them.

Today I've had Man Utd 'mates' laughing at me. Manchester United fans laughing! We have stolen their CL place, ****ted them home and away, their title is being taken by City, they have had to resort to supporting City - and they're trying to laugh at us. LOL.

Its probably extreme but I told my Everton supporting mates to **** off on Saturday. The blatant **** they were dishing out. Some total two faced bollocks. I cant associate with people like that

And I think its best to stay off twitter, facebook etc as thats where a lot of the morons spew their ****. There are a lot of fans of other clubs that actually wanted us to win it . Even my Arsenal supporting bro-in-law who has historically not liked us

Had a Spurs mate who "commiserated" with me after the Chelsea loss and finsihed with "you're still favourites though."

That 'you're still favourites' is an attempt to put the mockers on it. My Everton supporting mated were doing the same after every win. 'Ah Liverpool gonna do this easily', 'got the momentum etc' . When City made it 2-2 they flipped and started celebrating

It's been the one thing i've not liked about this season.

i've been involved in loads of a 'banter', piss take, even full blown arguments over the years with rival fans of all clubs.

i've never experienced anything like i have these past few weeks - pure sickening hatred. Maybe it's hurt a bit more because i'm hurting that we have likely lost the league after being so close - but it's been sickening.


ive maintained my diginity - i've not risen to any of it.....but if by some miracle we win it from here my ****ing god i'm going to go ape **** on so many ****ing people that by time i finish, i reckon i'd have lost a fair amount of 'friends'

We might be the neutrals choice, but I've never seen venom aimed at us like this.

Personally, I suspect it's largely jealousy and the fact that most of them support teams who have been humiliated by us at least once this season.

My experience is the same. Fans of lower league clubs seemed to want us to win it. Fans of PL clubs - even ****ing Villa fans - were all desperate for us not to win it.

As regards the United fans... Look whatever takes the focus off them having an absolute nightmare this season. Let them laugh and joke.. Because inside they are ****ting themselves. No champs league, they have to go through yet another new manager and they literally need about 7 top players... Aswell as keeping their existing talent.

A world cup year is a very bad year to become a new manager. You either try buy players before the world cup.. But players and clubs don't fall for that anymore.. They know a good world cup boosted value. Aswell as that new managers get very little time with new signings if they are away at the world cup and need a further break after.

So a new manager, desperately trying to sign over priced players and then not getting time to get that squad continuity before the season starts. That's not to mention the pressure and expectation at the United job.

So let them laugh and be pathetic enough to support another Manchester club in spite. When we are playing the top teams in Europe.. They ll be either watching us on TV.. Or if they manage to get europa league they'll be playing on a cold Thursday night in the Ukraine. We'll see who is laughing then

yeah i've avoided facebook, twitter, radio, sports coverage on tv, papers etc as much as i can.

if i was a cunt of a fan i'd take it - but i've been very quiet this and been giving loads of a **** - and if i say anything now i just got "knew you would bite eventually" etc etc

last night at palace, there was a group behind me saying they wanted us to win the league & there praise of suarez was truly surprising.

I think the majority on here are right, the smaller clubs fans want us to win, but the bigger clubs fans are ****ting it because we have within a nats whisker of winning the league on a much smaller budget than any of them. 50mill Ozil, 27mill fellani & no champs league, etc...
