If we finish runners-up in the Premier League do you think they might have a bus parade?

Not a full scale one going past the Pier Head but maybe a small scale one around the Anfield area only.

Given the excitement and enjoyment this season's football has given us it would be nice to celebrate a special season even if it didn't end in winning any silverware

A consolation runners up parade would be very cringeworthy. Almost at an Everton level.

In fact they're probably planning a parade to celebrate us not winning it, hijack theirs.

A bus parade with no trophy? Would just be embarrassing really, especially for the players.

The lap of honour after the Newcastle game will be enough to put across how much this season has been appreciated.

The team has given it everything. Can't ask for more. If, as seems likely, we fall short it will still have been a magnificent effort all round. Can't wait to do it all again next season.

I think so plus a companion DVD for everyone that turns up to watch.

Haha no way would they do that! That's reserved for trophy winners and rightly so.

There's nothing stopping you hanging out the sunroof and staging your own celebrations!

I can't believe you are even offering it as a serious suggestion to be honest. Surely it's some kind of joke I have been reeled into?

Anyway, the season isn't over. We could still finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Let's see what happens and lets not be complacent about Newcastle. Need to finish the season on a high and get the job done.

First is first. Second is nowhere (ignoring the pots of money from the PL and CL of course!).

The club had an open top bus booked, they cancelled it yesterday morning

So it looks like Agbonlahor and Weimann are out tonight, along with Benteke. ****ing great. Jordan Bowery is likely to start. Bowery signed from Chesterfield, where he couldn't get a regular start, 18 months or so ago. He has never scored a goal for Villa (in about 17 games), went on loan to Doncaster where he couldn't get a game and scored 0 goals. He's scored about 10 goals in his life, all at L2 level.

                        It's on!

Just when I had a slight glimmer of hope.
