It's frustrating that Toure and Sakho were brought in to help address defensive problems and yet we seem to be worse. Toure looked very comfortable on the ball at the start of the season and now he looks shocking. We didn't create enough clear cut chances today, but the problem was mainly the defence. It desperately needs sorting out and Johnson really needs to do something, he's rubbish defensively and going forward at the moment.

For me the problem with the post injury Lucas is he is reactive rather than being proactive as he was before the injury. When Team drop off Lucas comes into his own and hunts the ball down high up the pitch, when we are being pressed (usually away from home) he drops off forcing the entire team to drop off with him, creating gaps in the midfield which makes passing harder. We've waited long enough for the return of pre injury Lucas, it's not going to happen it high time we looked for a destroyer with mobility and passing range to allow us grab some control of the ****ing midfield, something we've failed to do all season.

Rodgers has shown he is willing to change the team when something is not working. Except for this blind spot he has when it comes to the midfield.

Just watching Ramires for Chelsea tonight rams that point down with a hammer.

To be fair, Allen has only just returned from injury so who would he have been able to change the midfield for?.

With Sturridge's last minute injury my outlook to the game changed dramatically. I realised we'd be carryng too many players (Gerrard, Lucas, Sterling) without the necessary load bearers (Sturridge, Coutinho, Johnson - having a 'mare recovery period again).

Huddlestone, Livermore and Merley (spelling) OWNED us. The same midfield that couldn't beat a 10 man Palace actually p*ssed all over ours. The blind spot Rodgers has cannot be ignored for too long or Brendan will go totally blind soon enough.

We have never looked comfortable against teams with organized defenses who can press out midfield. Some of our victories against such teams have come from Sturridge and Suarez pulling rabbits out of the hat. Not sure if it is a purely personnel issue or a tactical issue or a combination of both.

If Sakho doesnt start on Weds it is a joke. And Toure has showed why we needed to go out and buy another CB before the window closed. Woeful against Arsenal and now Hull. And I bet the City fans are laughing at his comments earlier this week that they must regret him leaving

He is nowhere near a Carragher. And Rodgers is right. When the ball comes in our area from open play our defending is shambolic. Every defender ****s themselves. Its nothing to do with agression. It is organisation

So ****ed off with that result. Kick in the nuts
He should know as he's partially responsible and has done nothing to address it.

                      Fair point

It's a concern that we've conceded 6 goals in the last two games. Also, our inability to control the midfield is very frustrating.

As for today's game - Sterling, Moses, Johnson and Lucas were poor. Not too sure what they offered
                      Another MASSIVE game

Sterling needs to go out on loan and hit the weights. Since he got his contract he has done nothing. Moses was nothing sort of abysmal and was at fault for the first goal with that stupid chip he tried and lost possession.

Why agger was dropped is a mystery and we are shipping goals for fun at the minute with 6 in 2 games. Rodgers needs to give his head a wobble and stick with a settled centre half pairing.

Our midfield was dire today as they were outclassed by Hull city ffs.

8 points from the last 6 games is a terrible return, there are only very poor sides below us in the form table and its just one win off relegation form. We've been struggling to find any consistency since the Utd victory, beaten West Brom and the bottom 3, a pretty fortunate run of fixtures and we're still dropping points.

I really can't see us finishing in the top 6 let alone the top 4.

I do think Lucas is 100% over rated on here.. but i thought he was good today.

At 2-1 it was utterly embarrassing how much of the ball they had, with a good attack they'd have won maybe 4 or 5-1. There are no positives to take from that game. Bring on Norwich ASAP
