West Ham will be playing their 4-6-0 formation when they come as well. Will need to get back to being slick in attack pretty quickly

The way we played yesterday, it seemed we thought we would win just by turning up. This is what angers me the most. A bunch of overpaid primadonnas not doing their job.

I'm not really vocal, win, lose or draw but something about yesterday...I just can't get my head round. We were dominated by a much inferior team. I wouldn't even swap their best player for Luis Alberto.

I'm fuming today. Absolutely fuming, I tell thee.

Just so we can clear this 'form' angle you're taking. We are tenth in the form table which is pretty much slap bang centre. The middle of the road. Not title challenging form, not relegation form. Just ... well, average. Could be better, could be worse.

We've taken eight points in the last six games, three points more than Cardiff who have picked up five you say. Let's look in the other direction; it's the same number of points as Southampton and Spurs, and just four points less than Manchester United, Everton and Manchester City.

It's great to see a bit of spice in the football forum, Tanner. However, I'd suggest coming up with another angle on what you're parping in said forum. Perhaps look to our away form where we are inconsistent?
Southampton are not where we should be looking to make this argument positive. Spurs are in a terrible run of form too for a club of similar stature and there's a huge amount of talk about the managers future because of it.

I agree with the last bit though, there's not a lot happening on this forum these days, so even if you disagree, at least its got a few posters fired up.

I do think disagreement is good for the forum but just reading some of what you say reminds me of how I felt under Hodgson, nothing he could have done would have changed my mind.

I just think you should think back to how bad we were before Rodgers came in, we had a lot of older players on big wages like Maxi, Bellamy and Kuyt and lumbered with overpaid **** like Carroll and Downing.

We are much better right now, yes Aspas, Borini and Allen haven't worked out but we are in a better place both on the field and financially.

Looking at the next 2 rounds of fixtures (provided we win both) I expect us to sit 3rd probably with a gap of 3 points + a head of 5th place. Right now I think we should all be behind Rodgers because we're in with a chance of 4th and at the start of the season no more could have been expected.

Why not look at Southampton? They have put points on the board and are playing some great football. Granted they may fade away, but their league position makes them worthy of being part of this debate. As for Spurs and the talk of AVB's future, I think that is more media drivel then a serious consideration; they're grinding out results whilst bedding in a lot of new players - they will come good.

Such is the competition in the Premier League this year, teams are going to get freak results (Cardiff at Manchester City, West Brom (nearly) at Chelsea and Manchester United) and our defeat to Hull was one of those games. All three of those teams reacted to those dropped points by winning their next game, let's see how we respond against Norwich.

Yes, we need to get some momentum but I don't think you can look at the form guide and say our form is abysmal - it's average. We're doing extremely well at home and we need to keep up with Spurs and Manchester United, because those are our challengers for the fourth spot - which is currently the position we occupy ... so perhaps - whilst the defeat hurts - it's not all doom and gloom.

                  Exactly how I felt.

We had a team that was more than capable of beating Hull. But two of our front three couldn't pass, couldn't dribble and their first touch... **** me

As for our midfield - three quality individuals that cannot play together. So ****ing frustrating
                  Another MASSIVE game

An account in Twitter called @support_believe which got quite a few things right in the run up to the game, including the team. He mentioned there's an issue but wouldn't go into details. Someone else said the Williams thing.

I think any manager would have his strong points & weaknesses...the Hull result could just as easily happened with somebody else in charge!
The important thing is that Rodgers learns from his mistakes quickly as this is the best opportunity we have had in ages to break into the top 4. I like BR...good footballing philosophy & vision for the club but he needs to make sure that when we have a whole week to prepare for a game against a team who is struggling, that we get what we set out for! Also that we can adapt accordingly if things are not working out!
Needs more consistency in general (down to the players as well) but also in defence too!

The other thing he must get right is this Jan Tranny Window! As mentioned there is about £60million odds worth of players not getting game time! The team needs 1st team ready quality ASAP! It's sooo crucial this happens as a lack of support and our overall squad depth has been shown to not be good enough in quality to cover injuries/suspensions. This will be the difference between finishing top 4 or below.

We need a strong reaction from all involved this wednesday & get ourselves back on track.

Expect is exactly what we shouldn't be doing though fella. We expected to beat Hull. We expected to beat Southampton. It was picked up on by Casemore I think when he mentions entitlement.

Look at Everton. They do not expect to beat anyone, they fight to beat everyone. They have a more realistic opinion of themselves and know that they have to be at their best every game. We will never succeed until we adopt the same mindset. And not just us fans, I think that the management and players have the same elevated opinion of themselves.

I hope you don't think this is a dig at you, it's not

I do get where your coming from and personally I was cautious going into the game against Hull, probably beaten into me over the past few years! But it can work both ways, if we don't expect to beat Hull there is a problem

There are two very different ways of expecting to beat teams, with confidence where you play knowing full well your better and you show it (the way Arsenal have this season). Or to have a feeling of just being to good for the other team and not needing to prepare properly or even get out of 2nd gear expecting the result to be handed to you. (We seem to be guilty of this)

Hull's energy was great yesterday and they, like many others who press us had success with that tactic. Beyond our first XI we struggle for quality and that's down to Rodgers to a certain extent he maybe needs another window but not enough of his players have stepped up.

If the story about him wanting Williams and not Sakho is true then **** me I'm glad someone else is there to overpower in some cases. For me he needs to be playing week in week out next to Skrtel until one of them have a poor game, Agger has been indifferent if we're honest and I think those 2 at the minute are our best pairing.

Is the Twitter rumour not about Ashley Williams - rather that Brendan wanted attacking reinforcements, namely WILLIAN, but the club went and bought Sakho instead? I'm sure that's what I read.

Probably bollocks anyway. Rodgers and the club have said enough times that he has the final say over transfers.
