Post match Vs Norwich

One part of the performance i did not enjoy last night is the passing out from the back, Mignolet to Allen. A few times i thought he was gonna get robbed. I don't understand this short passing when the other team are pressing up. A few times I was yelling at the tv last night.

It does make things a little nervy, but I prefer it to the hoofball that Bodge had us playing.

Mignolet just takes too long, if he put the ball down and played we'd have more space, the Mignolet to Skrtel is a disaster waiting to happen, that's why I would get rid of both centre backs. His pass to Allen that ended with Joe being booked was appalling

Rodgers doesn't want to play 2 left footers and having just bought Sakho Agger has to go and Skrtel isn't good enough with the ball at his feet.

it was very poor - mignolet - skrtel - allen

it looked like it was very strict instruction as well because every goal kick mignolet looked reluctant to boot it even when norwich had cottoned on to the short ball and where pressing

only thing i can think of is - Mignolet does need to work on his passing/ability with the ball - he just looks a bit nervy, and that will only improve with experience

maybe at 3-0 up and pretty comfortable Rodgers felt it was a chance to work on it in a game and instructed them to try and play as much as possible from the back.

Agreed there is always more to talk about when we've lost. Nowt wrong with a good autopsy. But he loses any credibility when he does a total disappearing act every time things are going well.

I agree that there's value in analysing things after a defeat. But that's not what he does, it's just agenda driven rubbish because he doesn't like Rodgers.

we all do it - i know i do after a defeat, go bit bat**** mental cause emotions are high and there is frustration etc

but even then i still try to find something positive

and at the same time, when we are class like last night, i will excited but also try not to get too carried away

If you have confidence/are good at this I think it works well. If you evade the press then you take several players out quickly and can start a counter. in most situations the worst that should happen is quickly out to a player, back to keeper who then kicks long. It looks worrying but I actually think it is a sound tactic. Requires good technique from defenders/deep midfielder though.

Will people give up on me being a bloody wum too, just because I don't think Rogers is the mesiah and still doubt we'll qualify for the CL next season doesn't make me less of an lfc fan than you.
