I know the conditions were ****e.....but looking at both the teams out there tonight, I genuinely think that it is Manc City's to lose but that LFC can be the main challengers...... Our job in the second half of the season is to be right there ready to turn the screw if and when they **** up

Obviously Arsenal or Chelsea go out and buy ****in Lewandowski tomorrow and that changes things but I really feel that if we can keep our key players fit, then it could be ****in on

Time for Brendy to show his mind-game credentials. He started t the other day with his "it's man city's to lose" interview but in reality he needs to step it up a notch in the way that Shanks, Bob or Kenny could. Our players are 21 games from greatness....

I just cant believe the season we're having. WTF has Brendy been putting in their Weetbix? Did any of us predict top at Christmas.

Gobsmacked. Utterly gobsmacked. In the best possible way.

**** it I'm getting carried away.I've seen us challenge for the league a couple of times since we last won it,I'm enjoying every second of this one. Just been explaining to my 8 year old son that this is our time,we are emerging from the shadows and he doesn't have to take **** anymore from the herd of united sheep in his school etc. Drink it in cos we've been starved of it all too often, even if we don't win it this year,we will win it soon, and I'll party for months when we do

I had no expectations that we will be at the top of the table before Xmas.

Absolutely none but I have to admit it feels awesome even if it is short-lived.

                  Brendan Rodgers

He's not perfect, no manager is. He's made mistakes and will continue to do so, all managers do. But to take us from where we've been over the last few years to being top of the league at Christmas is nothing short of incredible. Particularly doing it with the style of football we've been enjoying.

We could still finish anywhere from 1st to 8th at the moment, but let's enjoy this while it lasts, even if only until Thursday Two huge games and then a huge transfer window to come after Christmas.

Bloody great feeling. The club has a real feel good factor right now. The Suarez deal, great form in the league, things going our way. We WILL finish top 4, winning it will be the biggest bonus ever

I just found out who the last team was that failed to win the league after being top of the table on Christmas

Us! But the top 8 in the PL has never bee this close at this stage ever, so the fact that we are top is great, but neither here nor there.

Don't want to piss on anyones eggnog, but apparently we've actually failed to win the league on each of the last 3 occasions we've been top at Christmas! (90-91, 96-97, 08-09)

Still, this things happen in threes, so we don't need to worry about that this year

Thing is,this is no fluke.our form has been consistent since the turn of the year.we're not going full tilt either.we've had a few really **** results this season and bounce straight back after them. I think if we're still top 4 when we kick off vs hull on nyd I reckon we'll stay there. By the way spurs=
