Might as well enjoy this while it lasts! All our closest competitors should be picking up three points tomorrow, which is a bit aggravating.
edit: except City possibly. Although we can't afford to be complacent in the slightest. Not really following how or why some people think we'll be the ones to go there and stomp all over their perfect 13/14 home record
Well we are the second highest scoring team behind City, based on the last 3 months have the most prolific forward player on the planet, and on top of that we are top of the league.
Out of all the sides they've played at home so far we are more likely than any of the others to spoil the record.
We know City are likely to score a goal or two so being able to put them in at the other end is vital - something the other teams haven't done. We should be able to though!
I'll be content as long as we don't lose to both City and Chelsea but even if we do we'll have the 2 toughest fixtures of the season out of the way and the transfer window about to open along with Gerrard, Sturridge and Enrique all getting closer to a return.
A win tomorrow would be absolutely huge. We need to win this game to prove a point, give us another confidence boost and to attract decent players in the January window.
And to keep the players we already have happy too. I'm expecting a £25m + offer for Henderson in January and I don't want his head turned by some fly-by-night team

I don't think January would make much difference, as there's not much business to be done.. In the summer maybe, as top four..
Hopefully we'll have a much better, well established, scouting system in place..
I just think we could spring a surprise or two and strengthen in January. If we're still at the top of the table then the possibilities could be interesting.
Salah & Rakitić would be useful additions for the first team but we still have Ibe, Kelly, llori, Yesil, & Sama who could fill in as useful squad players, in cup comps.
Both are players that weren't getting games at their respective clubs though..
Are you talking about 20 mill World Class ala Diego Costa?
Pretty sure we acquired a certain Uruguayan in a Jan transfer window, there are deals to be done but it's certainly harder to bring them in for the right money in Jan.
One plus point is its World Cup Year and there will be players thinking about their places on the plane to Brazil this might make the Jan window a little better than normal for picking up the right player
