Can't see us keeping up with the pack over the next couple of weeks.
Johnnson is fine against inferior sides.

    Johnson/Toure/Agger/Flanno or Cissokho

I'm sure the very young lad making his debut in a tough away game that we were losing and chasing did his very best in very difficult circumstances.
      Totally agree.

Also I think 2 footed challenges are allowed now? Cause they seem to be happening against us pretty often and not being penalized.

We did look like children play against men. Very weak physically at times. I think we need more presence in midfield in these types of games.

Still we needed a bit of luck, and did not get it.

Played poorly compared to the City game too.

Did not really expect anything in these two games, but going ahead and losing twice is disappointing. Ref decisions may have cost us a couple of points over the two games, but it does show how short our squad is when we have to rely on Brad Smith? to fill in in a position he does not normally play. Not sure why we did not go 3 at the back and bring on Alberto or even Rossiter.

Mig has made a lot of soft mistakes all season we've just been going easy on him because we're been hammering them in the other end or he has pulled off great saves at other times in the match. Distribution has been poor in many games too.

I saw nothing of that today, he looked like the kit boy being thrown on. Again, not his fault

I think we've only united to play away in the second half of the fixtures. We've played city, Chelsea, arsenal, Newcastle, Everton all away from home.

Theyve still got to come to anfield.

I'm going to chalk this one up to tiredness and Webb being a massive cunt.

Sterling easily Man of the Match followed by Agger and Skrtel. Everyone else was a bit **** to be honest.

I've been really impressed with our performances against Spurs, City and Chelsea (all away!!). Very unlucky to lose against City and Chelsea.
                      Another MASSIVE game

                        A bit of perspective perhaps.

We've played Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea, Everton, Tottenham and Newcastle away and Manchester United at home. Of that top eight, you'd expect Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea to challenge for the title and as frustrating as it may feel, zero points against those three is a reflection of where we are at the moment. Of those teams around us challenging for fourth where we want to be, we've picked up eight points from a possible twelve.

We have home advantage in the second half of the season and if we keep putting lesser teams to the sword, we'll be playing Champions League football next season.

Would like to see Carra really expose Webb's decisions in the post match.

Bring it right to the fore under a very bright light.

To be fair, Neville was questioning his reasoning at the time. Carra needs to bring it home.

I hate this. We were all so happy four days ago. Now it feels like we'll be playing catch up for awhile. Everton absolutely cannot finish above us again this season. Think we're good enough for 4th but we're so inconsistent, and not very lucky either. None of our fixtures from now on (nor any of the ones we've already played, tbh) should be taken for granted.

Sturridge and Gerrard cannot come back soon enough. Hopefully that crazy talk of us being better without them will cease now.
