Coped the same way you guys do by dressing it up. Come the end of the season ive come to realise that these points are actually dropped points. Happens season after season mateOriginally posted by Chazza View PostHow the **** have you coped with the last few seasons if us being 4th and getting a draw away from home gets you this worked up?

No it's accepting whats happened and moving on to improve it. Nobody has dressed anything up just some don't blow a gasket by instead of smashing a team only manage to get a point.Originally posted by Sarb View PostRealism is not dressing up 2 points dropped as being alright. That result and performance is not acceptable. Huge opportunity is missed. Arsenal next week is no easy game but now the pressure is on to win. We lose and Utd win they are only 4 points behind, where it could have been 6. Everton could also take over.
Add it to Villa and Newcastle games its poor
Realistically we're still a side looking to develop and annoyingly these results will happen, perhaps some patience is called for.

That's true but can you honestly say you were confident we could hold on to our lead until that point? I certainly wasn't! We can blame Toure, Mignolet all we want. Mistakes happen. My problem is we have a manager who can clearly see the opposition starting to get on top and overrun us in midfield just like the Villa game. However instead of taking decisive action he does notthing. I don't mind him trusting his players to weather the storm but sometimes you just have to make the necessary changes. Allen is not a great player by any stretch of the imagination but I would have felt more confident of seeing the game out with him, Gerrard and Henderson as the midfield 3.Originally posted by Beary View PostToure what a mistake a to make. It was a disappointing today for certain, but we are still in a commanding position for fourth, having played a good number of the hardest away games of the season already.
I still think we will take it, and at least we got a point back home. Unfortunate that it's a personal error that cost us points again - but guess that's football in a nut shell.
We just need to get back on the horse and win the next one. We can get a result against Arsenal I feel.

Where has this Sarb gone?
All joking aside, was Mudds right, do you share an account? If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

2 points dropped, no biggy as most of our rivals for 4th did the same too.
Onwards and upwards. Roll on the summer too when we address this defence.
Mind you, baring in mind our 4 first choice back line is out injured. It makes you have hope.

Ahh well, still 4th and Flanno was excellent 2nd half.
Beat Arsenal and we maintain our goal of 4 points from 6 in recent games, despite having the two worst results and the 2 worst performances since 1892 against Villa and WB.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Thought we struggled when Flanagan went off. Kelly was poor when he came on just doesn't look anything like the player who broke into the team. Hopefully the injuries have not taken their toll on him early.Originally posted by RedReet View PostAhh well, still 4th and Flanno was excellent 2nd half.

Just got back from the game. A lethargic performance, lucky to escape with a point. WBA were there for the taking once we got infront but we just couldn't take control of the game at any time and passing was atrocious. We lost out on so many second balls its a joke and Toure & Cissokho were shocking. Luis should've finished them off.
Great support in the away end as usual.
