Someone needs to have a word with fat Sam. I can understand any issues with the 2nd pen (it was a pen by the way) but to call Flanno a diver (he was half way down before Adrian touched him) when the lad didn't even claim a penalty is a ****ing disgrace.
He called him a diver (think he used the term dive) on Sky too.
He did.......mentioned it earlier when some were saying Sam was fair in what he was saying. For the most part, he was, but he specifically said dive referring to Flanagan.
Completely out of line.
Prick.

I agree with Neil Lennon, about these types of pens if the keeper doesn't get the ball away then bringing the player down is a foul. His touch on the ball doesn't take it away from Flanagan. If he hadn't have brought Flanagan down Flanagan would still have had a chance to score, by bringing him down he has denied him a goal scoring opportunity so it's a pen. If the keepers touch had got the ball away from Flanagan it isn't a pen.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

As fat & obnoxious as he is, he did take Carroll, Downing & Joe 'the English Messi' Cole off our wage bill.

Did Flanagan even appeal for the penalty?

Still a pen as he grabbed his leg afterwards. Unlikely he'd have done that had he pushed the ball out mind.

lennon also mentioned that flanagan just about got first touch on the ball before the keeper brushed a finger across it. other commentators and pundits seemed to believe flano never got to the ball before the goalie.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
I've always had a soft spot for West Ham, being my local prem side growing up, but I have never seen a team so blatantly trying to cheat and handball every pass or shot that went anywhere near them.
They must hate watching the dross that Fat Sam's training that into them.
And Johnathan Pearce is a Chelsea fan (despite what Wiki says). Has said so on 5 live often enough.
