Key problem today was Lucas & GJ on the right flank. Lucas doesn't have the legs to cover & struggled as the game went on. Not match fit. I'm guessing Rodgers kept him on over Allen as we were leading and it helps him come along for games against Chelsea and Palace.

It essentially increased the pressure on GJ. He had the pace of first Redmond and later on Josh Murphy to contend with and couldn't over commit and go tight. Two often they overloaded our right flank and tried to hit crosses to the back post to target Flanno. Bringing on Agger gave us an extra man and then they ran out of ideas.
    Forwards.......

I don't think the Mig had a bad game at all. He was impeded by Skrtel, karate kicked by an attacker then Flanagan didn't even jump. Hg then saved us with a quick stop on the line.

I can't be negative about winning. I know we could have played better, we could have scored more, we could have conceded less, but we won.
        Was it?

Anyway, if it was a tense 1 0 with a dodgy penalty in our favour, the cliché would be that we're playing like champions. You know, grinding out results, winning ugly.

I swear people would be happier with that.

Actually I take that back. It's the usual suspects on suicide watch.
        Oh I don't know.

of course we are all buzzing with our league position, 11 straight wins, possible champs, etc.
but we are looking at adding some depth to the thread with some analysis of how the game went, the good AND the bad. its only right we should praise and criticise if we feel the need to.

without our incisive input there is no way brendan would be able to read the suggestions, make some changes, prepare us for the next game and be ready to go again.

          hi brendan
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

He called for it. Skrtel ducked and then Migs ****ed up. He made a mistake. I can't think of too many he's made though. I think most peoples problems with LFC comes over a lack of cohesion and understanding at the back. I've given my reason on this already in my last post.

Was having a conversation with redreet about it the other day. And you're right it's been going on for a long time.. Alan Hanson, whom knows a hell of alot about defending than most.. Picked this apart and he was bang on.
Agree mate. Also a man of his size should not be getting out muscled so easily. He just makes it so easy for players to go past him. He was in no mans land at times today.

you mean the one where he shouted for Skrtel to leave it for him before completely missing his punch.

                      Shocking keeping in that moment.

Ok, in that case, Sakho really is as bad as Traore.
                        Oh I don't know.

I think we all have to be prepared to put a lot of the **** ups down to the pressures of the title race & the willingness of the opposition to to run through brick walls for the cause. Earlier in the season Norwich would have caved at 2-0 & 3-1. But they don't let their heads drop now due to predicament they're in.

Realism suggests we won't go to a team fighting for safety and just turn up and stroll to a victory. It's a battle and we passed the test. Again.

I think that the clichéd 1-0 is somewhat easier to take as they are tight games where you don't expect many goals and once you go 1-0 up you worry that they might get an equaliser, with the way we play you can be 2-0 and still not confident that you are even going to get a point
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

My dad literally just said that not 5 mins ago. He's a big, strong lad.. Seems to lack aggression.
