Can't believe anyone would consider selling Suarez after this season! Mind boggling.

50m worth of investment into the team wont allow us to add to the depth and buy a decent left back, a striker, probably 2 midfield players and a couple of attacking creative players.
I would love to keep suarez but i cant see how we can add to the squad to make us consistent challengers for the title.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Yeah, **** that. I cant wait to see him terrorising Bayern and co next season. No guarantees with the money either anyway as Spurs have shown and us Torres/Carroll, Alonso/Aquilani, Mascherano/Poulsen/Meireles.Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostAye. One short sub-genius run of form and he's best off sold! Some people. If he wants to stay, which I think he does now, I wouldn't even contemplate getting rid.

Selling Bale worked out well for Spurs didn't it.Originally posted by el matador View Post
the league isnt lost yet we need to improve the squad massively this summer in quality and depth to compete again for top four next season.
thats why i would sell suarez this summer if a decent offer comes in.
Wanting to sell Suarez is absolute insanity if you ask me.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Wow, we're back to selling Suarez after a defeat?
One thing that sticks out like the sorest of thumbs after this game is how much a lot of posters have forgotten what it feels like to lose a game! Its horrible and causes horrendous over analysis.
There's still mathematical hope. Its still possible.

we saw yesterday why we're not ready to be champions yet. when chelsea parked the bus with their deep lying defence, we couldnt open them up - towards the end we looked devoid of ideas. Yet for me there's no shame in that because better teams than ours will struggle to open up the best defensive team in europe.
But the match showed us that we are really struggling to put together a competitive squad to equal the others. Flanagan for all his defensive excellence isnt what you need when going forward. chelsea were happy to concede space on the left knowing that flanagan couldnt hurt them. We had no proper replacement for sturridge who when he did come on looked so far off the pace - he wasnt ready at all to play but that he came on before a fully fit aspas says everything. When aspas came on we wish he hadnt.
Lucas replaced henderson in the middle and he looked way off the pace too. We just didnt have any decent replacements for these lads who are crucial to our game. Henderson missing was massive because neither lucas nor allen are a threat from midfield so it made chelseas job of defending their goal much easier. Focus on stopping suarez and sterling and keep an eye on the rest.

Worked out great for Spuds.
3rd place. Worst champions ever.

On selling Suarez - If you're on a wind up then I commend your efforts but if not then I'm not sure I can find the words to fully explain just what an utterly, utterly stupid move that would be.Originally posted by el matador View Post50m worth of investment into the team wont allow us to add to the depth and buy a decent left back, a striker, probably 2 midfield players and a couple of attacking creative players.

And on needing more than 50m this summer - Well we've gone from finishing 7th to either 1st or 2nd, scoring the second highest number of goals in PL history and we're also likely to equal our best ever PL points tally so it's not exactly like we're weaklings who need a huge injection of cash, yes we need to strengthen with some real quality but we don't IMO need a Spurs style spending spree which you seem to be suggesting.

I get defensive football, we've seen it under Houllier and in certain games under Benitez. But I'm extremely confident that we weren't time wasting from the first minute and playing in to the corner flags in the first half.
Mourinho holding on to the ball, Schwarzer taking forever, Cole leaving the ball behind ... that's just the tip of the iceberg. It was embarrassing and it's typical of the UK's media that it isn't highlighted for what it was.
