I know today is hard for many of us but it isn't like it's the last day of the season and we've just been pipped at the death!

There's plenty of football to be played and City have no margin for error either. Three games in a week for them and of course they can drop points in one of those games.

We just need to win our last 2 games and see what happens.

It's still very much on. Believe.

      Gutted.

But we did everything we could. We haven't bottled it, we didn't blow it. We made a mistake. Nothing about pressure. I've seen the best teams in the world we've ever seen fail to break down a wall of defenders. Just the way football goes sometimes.

I think if we are being critical we have too look at the choice of pass & shot selection in the final third. Too many poor efforts from outside the box & why our players thought high crosses from out wide would work is beyond me. But I can't really fault the players.

As for people saying Rodgers knew what to expect.... Yes, we all did. But how do you plan for breaking down a team like that? You just have to play the way you normally do and hope you get the breaks. Nothing else could have been done there.
      Forwards.......

Credit to Chelsea and Jose Mourinho - he had a game plan and executed it to perfection. It wasn't pretty to watch, but they got the three points. We made a mistake and they were impossible to break down. If we don't win the league this season it'll be due to all of our results and not just this one. We're still in the driving seat anyway, I'd rather need six points from six than nine from nine.

1 error doesn't cost the league, we have seen numerous other individual errors this season

****ing Hull & Newcastle away are good starting points if we want to see where it cost us.

Regardless of what happens, we are back. Big time. For the first time in years the rest of the country respect us, wish they had our players and admire the football we play. We fight on, and see what happens, but more importantly, we build. Brendan is clearly the right man, and we're going in the right direction. Both Chelsea and Man City have better squads but our play has captured the imagination. We lose the title, we're still back. Which feels a million miles from a couple of years ago.

the subs bench was wrong, i want fully fit players on the bench; Studge was just not fit; its easy in hindsight, but texi & Alberto would have been better options against the double decker

And WBA away, Southampton and Villa at home. We would of ran away with the league by now.
They say our days are numbered were not famous anymore but Scousers rule the country like we've always done before!

You'd rather six points from six that wouldn't win the league than nine from nine that would ?

City are in the driving seat now, well and truly. imo.

Texiera & Alberto would have done what Gerrard & Coutinho did. Just sat outside the box and done nothing. What we needed were players in the box creating space by either getting in good positions themselves or runs across to cause confusion. Too often players in the final third were static. I could have played in that Chelsea back line today, it was too easy for them.

Sturridge & Aspas were the right subs, just one wasn't fully fit & the other wasn't good enough, though he did well in first couple of mins when coming on. LFC needed to pass-pass-pass in front of them and wait for a bit of movement or a Chelsea player to fall asleep. Too often went for desperation. We hoped for a bit of good fortune as opposed to creating our own luck.

Exactly, by rights we shouldn't even be in with a chance because winning 11 on the bounce is not easy. Doesn't make losing any easier though.
