This does not slip.Originally posted by I, Ravel Morrison View PostAbsolutely gutted but absolutely proud at the same time. If you think you're feeling it spare a thought for the captain. He must feel sick to the core.
We go again.

Definitely feel for the poor bugger. Those words will be haunting him. Fate can be a fickle *******.

It's just awful for Stevie. If we don't win it this season, he will blame himself. It's horrible. There is no one who deserves a league title more than he does and I know I would be distraught in his position. I don't think he'll let it get to him though. He's an incredible professional and will do his best to put it behind him.

It was heartwrenching seeing him trying to rescue the situation, shot after shot. I thought Rodgers could have done with calming Stevie at halftime and getting him to play his usual game. Felt Stevie got a little Roy of the Rovers and snatch at some of the chances.Originally posted by EwarWoo View PostThis does not slip.

We don't make things easy for ourselves. Maybe this was due and it might do us some good? We have to go out and win our remaining games by as many goals as possible and City will have to do the same. We can both finish the season on 86 points, we know what we have to do. I'm not a gambler, but I would bet that we're more likely to get two wins from two than City will get three from three (assuming today's game is a City win).

It's still in our own hands. We need to win the next 2 games with all out relentless attack regardless of what city do. We both win our remaining games & we'll both finish on 86 points...difference being goal difference. Our aim now to remain at the top is to continue doing what we have been doing...scoring goals...and lots of them! Lets ****ing smash palace & newcastle & go on a goal rampage against city...most goals wind the league

City's recent form is all over the place. I certainly wouldn't bet on them winning 4 in a row.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostWe don't make things easy for ourselves. I'm absolutely gutted at the moment - I don't think I've ever felt so bad after a game, it feels like we lost it there and for it to be Mourinho and his anti-football makes it harder to swallow.
It's City's to lose now and I expect that given the boost our result gave them they won't throw it away now. That said we have to keep going and keep the pressure on them, whatever happens from here we've had a great season and if we finish 3rd so be it we'd all have taken that at the start of the season. Hopefully it being out of our hands will take the pressure off us somewhat and we can get back to playing how we were playing a while back and pick up the 6 points from our remaining games, with any luck City will slip up and we can nick it.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Gutted, even devasted but prous at the effort today. We did what we could to break down a team that wanted nothing to do with the game. Stood back for 95 minutes, playing some of the worste bore-**** to hit football in recent years (as against Madrid mid week), and we just didn't have an answer. We gave everything, but couldn't break the down and really created very few chances.
Gerrard tried a bit to hard at times to make up for the slip, but again were some of the only shots we had on goal.
Nothing really came together today, but we fought all we could! Now to hope for the Ciry slip up!!

I know it's wishful thinking, but it's still definitely there for us.
