Rodgers on Chelsea approach: 'It's the polar opposite to what we do ... it's not difficult to coach, to put 10 players on the 18-yard box'
Rodgers asked whether he would ever set up a team to play like Chelsea. Answers, 'What do you think?'
Rodgers: 'Jose will probably shove his CV in front of me [to justify approach] but it's not my way of working, I like to take initiative'"I will make the boys feel your support"

If we don't win the league this season, I think I'm going to take a break from football. It sounds completely ridiculous when we've widely surpassed most people's expectations, but losing control of the title in defeat to a filthy rich and completely negative side like Chelsea completely underlines what's wrong with this sport. What's the point if the richest teams are always going to win? City has the momentum now and without a miracle of some kind, they are going to win the rest of their games. I know we've all been claiming City is the lesser of two evils but they are still only where they are today because of the insane investment their owners have made.
It's just too stressful and it feels pointless. Why bother?
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

If we don't win it we'll still have gone from 7th to 2nd and scored the 2nd highest number of goals in PL history.Originally posted by Marina View PostSo this is essentially how I feel right now.

This Mourinho=genius thing is crazy. That was percentage football today. Play that game five times and you'll probably get three Liverpool wins a draw and a Chelsea win. He knows this,he gambled and we duly ****ed up and handed it to him. Where was his genius last week at home to the side stuck right at the bottom of the division? I feel numb at the day's events. Our final ball was just ****ing atrocious. Man Utd have had to contend with these tactics for years. Good delivery into the box and something will drop for you. It's not really the time for scapegoats but how bad a player has Glen Johnson become?I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

We have over achieved anyway. The target was to qualify for the Champions League which has been done and in the process we have had a shot at the title. It still can be done although what we need now is for City to slip up which could possibly happen.Originally posted by Marina View PostSo this is essentially how I feel right now.

We can go challenge for the title again next season but in the meantime let's try and seal the title this season which still can be done. They say our days are numbered were not famous anymore but Scousers rule the country like we've always done before!

You're looking at it the wrong way.Originally posted by Marina View PostI know it sounds melodramatic. But this sport is corrupt. It feels like more of a business than a sport. And that's why so many people have given up on it.
Despite odds being against us we've staged a dramatic title fight from nowhere.
Who knows what the **** can happen next season. Bring it the **** on
(and this seasons not over yet anyways btw

We would have quite comfortably got a draw without the slip, you can't help things like that. We approached it the way we always do which is right but we should have kept that approach going instead of crossing the ball so much and taking long shots. At nil all we would've had the awareness that a draw would be plenty for us.Originally posted by Patricks_Berger View PostI think this is right. We should have played for a draw- probably ended up winning.
I hopeChelsea come to grief
The slip killed it for us but that's football.Last edited by G; 27-04-14, 05:20 PM.
