I'm buzzing. Felt more confident after the Chelsea game than I did before it. I don't expect us to win the league, but we can and we've got a bloody good chance. I'd say it's 60/40 in City's favour. I am really excited about the prospect of it going to the last day of the season.

I'll be more than bitterly disappointed if/when its actually goneOriginally posted by McDermotX View Post
No-one could have realistically predicted what would have happened this year, but if we do end up as runners-up, it's possible to be both proud of the team, but still be bitterly disappointed about how we've let the title slip away from us.
but for the time being im going to enjoy it

Possibility if loads of goals v Palace?
They've conceded less than us so not high. They sit deep. Lowest possession stats in league.
But we have to go for it. Needing a hatful of goals actually removes some of the pressure. If we only needed one we'd be nervy. Now we won't even be thinking of sitting back after banging in the first.
And we know we won't be sitting back & inviting pressure, other than to kill em on the break.
It would be the greatest twist of all if we turned it around and sent it into a shoot out on the final day. But LFC have been involved in the best CL final, Best UEFA cup final, best FA cup final etc.
With LFC, there is always hope

I think if we got an early goal, a thumping is possible, but something 3-0+ would be unexpected against this side if we're realistic.
Think we'll win and go back top, but to see Newcastle been treated as a potential punch-bag on the last day of the season would be something special, but we also need to be realistic.
If we got an early goal tonight, and say were in complete control with a second goal before half-time.......then I think we should go for it, but any win should be top priority."I will make the boys feel your support"

If we could spank them for four in the first 30 minutes (a la Arsenal), then get the rub of the green and some luck in the final third, that would heap more pressure on Manchester City. Not only would they have to beat Aston Villa, they'd have to beat them well and going for goal might leave them susceptible to the counter-attack.
EDIT: I feel like I've parped the same ****e all week. I'm just gonna have to watch the game and what will be, will be.Last edited by Muddled; 05-05-14, 01:35 PM.

For the unrealistic high score we definitely do need the early goals. Three up by HT would go down a treat. Then get the next goal after HT and push on from there. Most annoying thing is that even with a high score, we know full well City could then go and do the same against Villa. Crazy that game is still to be played this late on in the season.
We probably need 7 to even make this a possibility.Forwards.......

Think it's going to be one of those games tonight, a real grind!Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostGot to win primarily then every additional goal is a welcome bonus. Suddenly having doubts about this game! We must put pressure on City, three points will do that. Nervous as **** now.
