Loved this season, sorry to see it end this way. Really proud of the team and Rodgers, they been excellent.

What really pisses me off is fans of other clubs wanting City to win it. I'm not sure why they would prefer someone buying the league rather it being won on merit. Might just be me but I think it's really pathetic.

I *think* I see where Nigey is coming from. We're sacrificing a midfielder to accommodate the extra striker. Combine that with our advanced full backs and we're always going to be over-run. Is that our defending or our defensive personnel?

But this is where I don't agree with Nigey, because I believe it's a combination of the two. How many teams play with a lone striker these days? The majority. What Rodgers has to do is work out how to get another midfielder closer to Gerrard without isolating Suarez and Sturridge.

FFS, I meant the defence doesn't need a total reshuffle. A few additions yes, but a reshuffle, surely not. And for Johnson being a disaster, ****ing come on.

And given his wages and seniority he totally has been. Of all our senior pros this season he has performed the worst given the level of play he has shown in the past, categorically. Look at the motm polls if you want a sort-of relevant straw poll of supporter views, he has 1 point for the entire season, that's less than every other first team regular. He's gone from being a real weapon for us to an obvious weak link in our team, that qualifies as a virtual disaster in my book.

I like Johnson, he isn't deliberately being ****. I have some sympathy for him anyway, but I just think that he's past his best. We really need to improve both of our LB and RB positions and probably bring in a new CB too. I also think we should look for a better keeper, Mignolet's uncertainty is affecting the defence (and vice versa). We need a commanding goalkeeper and someone who can organise the defence better than the current players. I know it's been said before, but it really is a pity Carragher retired last season - I am sure we'd have won the league this season with him in the side.

I agree he's been below par, but has he really been a disaster? That's where I don't agree. We need a talker at the back, someone with a bit more personality to organise the defence when the going gets tough. We need a left back ideally, but I'm not so sure we need a right back. Only if we can replace Johnson.

If we'd spent hundreds of millions and just won the league would we care? I know we're trying to do it the right way, but we'd love to be able to just buy any player we wanted like City and Chelsea do.
