Ojo and O'Hanlon combine, corner forced.

Fulton takes sweeping to new heights! Almost in the centre circle.

    Hart taken out then Ojo....

    5 minutes plus added time.

Norwich sweeping move ends with shot across the face of goal (or was it a pass?)

      Lennon on.

Another Canaries attack ends thanks to Fulton.

Great ball from Ojo nearly finds Sinclair run behind, keeper equal to it.

Lennon meets Sam Hart in ball with a volley over. Should have been the winner.

Chiv swings in a fine ball, Clearly couldn't direct it in.

Fine ending to the game for Liverpool

          FT 0-0

An absorbing game rather than a thriller, Lennon only on for the last 7 minutes but created a few good moments, he really should have been on earlier. The work rate and quality of Sam Hart and Mattie Virtue stood out.

Thanks Redmike. Glad to see Wilson get a full game. Is he looking head and shoulders above the others at the moment?

Nope! That is not to say he had a bad game he did some good stuff but the entire side was playing too deep in the first half so his range of passing wasn't exploited. Second half was better for everyone, he is tidy no question but I have a feeling that Canos is going to burst right past him in the wider scheme of things. Sergi has that fizz about him right now.

Agreed, really good things about Sergi right now. And he was one I put away as not gonna make it. Still time.

Kent better turn it up too. We need one or both of Kent and Wilson to break through. Sergi would be a welcome bonus.

                              Liverpool v Man Utd U18

                              FT 3-0

Ben Woodburn scored twice and provided an assist as Liverpool U18s produced a brilliant display to beat Manchester United 3-0 at the Kirkby Academy on Saturday morning.

After the 4-0 win over their arch-rivals in October, Neil Critchley’s side completed a league double. Yan Dhanda was also on the mark.

With the usual showpiece pitch deemed unplayable, the game was switched to one of the training pitches at the Academy.

Critchley’s side featured the inclusion of Conor Masterson who was on the bench for the first-team the previous evening at Exeter City in the FA Cup.

With an FA Youth Cup fourth round date with Cardiff at Langtree Park set for Thursday night, the U18s warmed up nicely with a fine display.
Liverpool U18s: George, Alexander-Arnold, Owens, Masterson, Parker, Phillips, Kane, Ejaria, Woodburn, Alves, T Gomes (Dhanda).
