Liverpool getting very little out of this ref esp, after a quiet start they've come into the game with Woodburn and Brannagan playing well as are Chivvy, Ilori and Sakho

Did you fall asleep watching it or something?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I didn't bother with the second half, ended 1-2 to Wolfsburg, Brookes Lennon scored from Woodburn charge down the left I read.

Rhian Brewster scored a hat-trick for England U17s v Croatia (who defended like a pub side after closing time)

Does anyone have Trent Alexander Arnold's goal from two games ago, one before Wolfsburg I think.

Was it not this one against Sunderland?

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Rhian Brewster scored a brace for England U17s v Germany in an 8-1 route in the final of the Croatia Cup (I think it's called)

LFC have introduced a new academy pay policy for players up to and including 17 years old - 40k per annum max but with bonuses for appearances in U23 (if U18 player presumably), senior squad and loans. Fewer youth players to be bought in with emphasis on quality and no new players to be signed for senior squad unless clearly better than existing youth players - in other words no more cheap random punts and loans - players like Luis Alberto I suppose.

“I've always been at clubs for the long-term so when I see a 16-year-old player who is good, I can always wait for him,” said Klopp.

“I can promise that before we sign a player who isn't a lot better than what we already have, we will always use our own boys. That's how the future should be, even in the crazy football transfer world. We want to be this special club.

“That's why I am really interested in the talent groups and all these boys. We have created a situation where all these boys see a real perspective. That's very important. They need to know that there is a way through.”

                              a £40k p/a ceiling at 17-18 year old...How will they survive?

That said, it seems a sensible initiative.

I don't actually think it is a particularly huge wage in footballing terms. 7 year ago I was working with a lad who was getting paid £300 per appearance running out for Telford in the Conference.

Obviously this is a fixed wage of £800 a week but that is max and he was by no means the best player in the team. Potential for players to be snaffled up by better playing cubs for the sake of £500 a week
                                Football without Origi is nothing
