There arent many home grown players breaking through in the PL, so sending them to Scotland is a decent option. The football is competitive, and they will play in any number of games with a decent crowd and a hostile atmosphere. Connor Randall was at Hearts this season past, and he looked to have found his level, without being outstanding. A kid from Man U, Demetri Martin played for Hearts also and looked amazing.
Good players can develop in the SPL. Look at Virgil Van Dyck.Modifying post.Comment

On Saturday I was dropping off my missus at Dusseldorf airport, she was flying to Montenegro for a sailing regatta. Whilst waiting I got chatting to a young lad, mid 30s, he saw my LFC tatt and came to chat.
He is a scout for Rangers flying to Montenegro to watch their game against Slovenia, wouldn't tell which players he was looking at. I told him to keep his paws off Oblak.
The guy was from Liverpool and had worked as a scout and some other capacity (player) for Tranmere and Liverpool. Gerrard asked him to work for him up in Glasgow. They haven't a pot to piss in, This guy only gets expenses for doing the job.
So if we don't get Oblak, we all know whyThose that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
