What have you made of Duncan so far Venton?

Seems quite greedy from the clips I've seen, although that's maybe not surprising if trying to make an impression and not necessarily a bad thing either.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I like him a lot, he gets into good positions and is clever with the ball. I can see him setting up a few goals and scoring one or two himself. Seems to lose the defenders easily as well. Good player.

Didn't get a chance to watch this as I was working late. Brilliantly Pater Familias Venton was giving me updates from the endless comfort of his retirement sofa after I gifted him a LFC sub for his birthday.

Maybe he can replace you here? You've been neglecting us recently.

Having watched the U23s play Swansea I'm struck that Adam Lewis can put a hell of cross in, excellent left back. Goals for Nat Philips, Solanke and Origi who both showed they can score some decent ones if given enough chances. Our new keeper, Kai McKenzie-Lyle, is 6'7".

To get some idea of the scale here he is next to Sanchez. And Sanchez is stood on an upturned bucket.

Only seen highlights, but he seemed to play well in that game and PSG. Having a great season. He has work to do defensively, but he looks like he could be the perfect deputy for Robbo. Shame he was away with England over the summer and we didn't get to see him in pre-season.

I think bringing out your centre backs as flying wingers and developing their defensive skills second seems to be the order of the day. Glad he did well against PSG. Did you see the PSG game? If so any standouts for you?

I had PSG game on, but had a load going on in the house at the time, so barely seen 5 mins, which is why I had to watch highlights.

Hard to really judge from that, but Jones looked good as always and Adekanye did very well for his goal.

Cheers. Adekanye does look a handful.

They specifically mentioned in commentary that they are doing extra training on his finishing / final ball, so if that pays off we could potentially have a decent player on our hands.

Arsenal starting strongly at their place against our U23s. We've obviously been told to practice knocking it around calmly at the back whilst under pressure. Puts the ****s up me and no mistaking.

It's Arsenal who mess up at the back though with a poor clearance. Adekanye drives forward and they have to drag him down. Free kick just outside the Arsenal box.

Lewis whips it just past the keeper's right hand post.
