Well, should have been 1-0 to us but it isn't. Beck with an incisive run down the left and pulls it back for Stewart in the middle of the goal who drives it inexplicably wide.

Chaos in the Rovers box and Millar runs free, gets his shot off then it's pingponging all over the shop until it goes out for a corner.

From which WE SCORE! Short corner to Tyler Morton who crosses for Van den Berg to calmly score after some neat footwork.

What you do notice is that every single youth team tries to play it out from the back, even when it's not particulary necessary and sometimes when it's quite risky. That's something that's changed over the last few years.

Van Den Berg should have scored there again, running onto a corner from the far post but it's wide.

Having said that Pitaluga boots it straight from the box down the left wing for Millar who gets a decent cross that no-one drives on to. Nothing wrong with a bit of directness from time to time.

Another long clearance by a keeper, this one Blackburn's, and they're away on the break. For some reason that can only be described as unfathomable Pitaluga comes sprinting out of his box like a chubby kid after a departing ice-cream van, arms pumping. He has absolutely no chance of getting there but continues, pot commited. Luckily our defender manages to get back and clear it off the line but that should have been an equaliser. I can only think the forward found it so unexpected he thought it might be half time.

Half time. We started brightly, getting some joy down the left hand side with the Beck/Millar overlap. Definitely worth our lead and maybe should have had a couple more. We had a let off when Pitaluga went off like Mrs Venton on seeing a spider but otherwise are defending well.

There's something supremely relaxing about listening to to Vegard Heggem talk about fly fishing.

Last ditch from Remi Savage saves a near certain goal for Blackburn there, whipping it up and over off the toes of the Blackburn striker. Super defending.

Bit more pressure from Rovers this half.

Tom Clayton plays a calamitous backpass straight to the Rovers forward who calmly slots it past Pitaluga. Disastrous mistake, rightly punished.

Ok, we're a bit more open this half, our full backs getting caught out of position and not always getting the support from the guys in front.

As I type that a great cross from the right and Lyons gets on the end to head it home, unchallenged. We've been flat and sloppy this half and the results shows it.

****ing hell, has someone given them a full roast dinner at half time? We're caught out at the back again and Blackburn should have scored. The lads are huffing and puffing out there like me running for a bus, we're a right shambles. Come on, you little ****s.

Sharif on for Morton. We don't look too much like scoring though. It's as if the energy levels have just dropped right off. Blackburn well on top at the moment.
