    Feel for Gordon.

He looked a serious prospect a few years back and seemed to be doing well this season after a tough couple of years.

I think he’s out of contract this summer as well so he’ll have to drop down a level or two.

Possibly one to keep an eye on. Mind you we lost that match 7-0 lol

Midfielder Luca Eden made history with his Liverpool U18s debut, breaking a record that had stood for more than five years.

The teenager came off the bench against Manchester United in November to become the youngest player ever to feature for Liverpool at U18 level — and the only 14-year-old to do so.

Since records began, 36 players aged 15 have represented Liverpool in the U18s league, including Curtis Jones, but Eden stands alone as the first to achieve it at just 14.

      Record breaker.

Trent Kone Dougherty needs to go out on loan if the right move comes along. He’s got zero chance of minutes if Rio & Trey can’t get off the bench.

I’ll put this here as it’s more fitting than in the transfer chat.

[Pearce] Exclusive: Liverpool in talks to sign highly-rated young centre-back Ifeanyi Ndukwe from Austria Vienna. He was part of the Austria team which reached the U17 World Cup final in November.

Looks like there might be a bit of a change in recruitment for the academy with 2 of the 3 young CB’s coming in from overseas. It’s been a while since they signed young players from outside of England rather than players from other English academies which seemed to be the focus.

Two of the CB’s were right up there in terms of standout performers in the recent u-17 World Cup I think.

I know the results at the academy aren’t always the target and it’s about developing players but looking at the tables for 21,19 and 18’s they’re mid/lower in the leagues.

Has there has been a drop in quality and they’re going out and getting better players now. Might be part of the reason Slot is using players from the academy?

The U18’s had a good come from behind home win on the weekend over Stoke. We trailed 2-0 at HT & then scored the winning goals in the90th & 95th minutes

No details but the 21’s won 3-2 over Norwich away.

Young Callum Scanlon made a comeback in a friendly yesterday vs Wrexham (1-1) after 353 days out after a really bad hamstring injury. He’s a RB for those who aren’t aware.

Just watched the extended highlights & Keyrol Figeuroa came off the bench for Will Wright ( who was returning from injury) & got a double to win us the game after Amara Nallo got our first from a corner. Trent Kone Dougherty was a constant threat on the left wing with his blistering pace & great dribbling.

TKD looks an excellent player, better than rio

The U-21’s winning 4-0 against Arsenal at halftime. Will Wright with another goal. Hes made a good return from injury.

It’s now 7-0. Not a bad day for the youngsters.

I’ve been watching a bit of the 2 youth teams & these are the guys who look a cut above the rest & hopefully we’ll see them push on in the next few years. Kieran Morrison is probably leading the race at this stage but he can frustrate his team mates as he’s very much a selfish player. TKD & Will Wright linked up well despite not playing together very much. Oh I forgot to add Keyrol Figeuroa ( as he came off the bench ) who has been on fire this season scoring 12 goals so far.

In the 18’s it’s Josh Sonni- Lambie & Finn Ingelthorpe who look the goods .
