    He needs a proper run.

He's a young kid with bags of potential whose suffered this season from being injured, being suspended (in Europe) and being mucked about in positions which are unfamiliar.

Play him for 90 minutes in all our remaining games as an investment for next season and reap the rewards.

Being forced to play wingback for most of the season coupled with constantly being hooked at half time has shattered his confidence.

I refuse to believe one of the most highly regarded young players in Europe is this rubbish.

He needs a run of games in a settled position, he's been in and out of the side and playing in a variety of positions, like a number of players this season.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

              Lazar Markovic

Like a lot of the younger players, I think he's suffering from 'Gerrard syndrome' - where he's the big personality, he's the guy who has rescued us countless times, he's single handedly won games, he's Mr Liverpool and Brendan loves him.

Without Gerrard's influence in and around the team, I'm hoping a number of other players will find their confidence levels and step up/flourish without that safety net of previous seasons (except this one, obviously... ;-)

He doesn't seem tuned in to the flow of the game. Its either a communication problem or he's just not clever enough to understand what the manager wants him to do.

stupid that he's being written off after his 1st season.

He is a good player and I still see a good future for him here

Young player being played out of position due to a formation we've needed to use to stop the leaks at the back.

I think he'll come good once being played in his usual position

Agree with Cormack. We need to use the rest of the season to start playing these young lads in the positions they were bought for so we can see what we have. With any luck we'll avoid the Europa league next season too.

What is his 'natural' position? behind the striker? wide forward?
He's not going to displace Coutinho, Sterling and even Lallana anytime soon.

I've said before but i have no idea why we bought him, you buy him OR Lallana - not both.
                        Another waste of money.
He’s here! I *know* he’s here! That’s him, I’m telling you that’s him! You hear me? I’m telling you it’s *Keyser Soze*!

Fair point that. But he ticked the committee boxes of being young, resale value, potential etc.....

I thought it was telling that Chelsea didn't want him. Yes i know they've got loads of other (better) players for the attacking positions, but that hasn't stopped them stockpiling youngsters they deem good enough and sending them out on loan.

If they wanted him (for the reasons you mentioned) then they should have not bought Lallana (i'm not exactly a huge fan of our marquee signing either )

what if they had spent the money they spent on Lazar, Balo and Lambert (£40m) on one world class forward?

It's common sense really, but hey what the eff do we know?
