I thought Trent was just as bad if not worse .. Virgil just really highlights Dejans shortcomings much more rather than make him a better player

I'd be amazed if he is not either moved on or moved down permanently this summer, there is a wiff of Skirtel about him now, unless he goes on a tear now with consistently solid performances and no Dejan moments. He needs put more composure in his game and believe in himself more. People forget him came to us with a reputation of being an amazing passer of the ball amougst other things, perhaps he can rediscover that aspect of his game again. I noticed he has being trying some amazing through balls over the last few games and they have come off.

Trent is 19 years old. And had dopey Dejan next to him.

had a strong dislike for the guy before, full of himself, and him filming the croatian dressing room happily singing fascist songs during the world cup, did not endear him (or any of them) to me.

too slow to react to aguero for the first, and not holding the line for the second sums him up really.

the first goal can be sort of forgiven, as it was a suberb strike from a hard angle,

i still cant wait till he's out of the club really

More to the point, if Salah had scored that against them, no one would be saying it was the defender's fault.

The Anfield Wrap put more blame on TAA and Alisson than Lovren for the first. Lovren turned and saw Aguero on the floor. Also three crosses weren't dealt with before it was converted.

Lovren is of course the scapegoat.

I don't think you can attach any blame to Trent, doing so is incredibly harsh. Allison maybe I can see a little bit but the strike was excellent and realistically I don't think you can expect a keeper to get that, it would've been an incredible save.

I was absolutely fuming with Lovren at the time, and I still think he switched off and ball watched just for a second which let Aguero get in front of him, it's all well and good saying he thought Aguero was on the deck but he knew he was there and should have expected he would go for the ball.

That being said though I don't think it was as bad as some have made out, it was a mistake but one that many defenders would have made and in retrospect I feel a lot of the criticism Lovren got for it was harsh.

That straight ball at the end though, no excusing that.

The shot was blockable from TAA's position. Understand that he may of been worried about Sane playing the ball across the middle to Ageuro and was playing the percentages but I think that was the wrong call, Carra would have dived on the ball at Sane's feet.

Trent is a 19 year old kid who will get better and better.

Dejan Lovren is a ****wit who might play a good game or two in a row - but when he does he will spout his "I'm the king of the world" bull**** - only for it to come back and bite him on the arse when he causes another **** up.

We actually need to play him against Wolves too - because he is likely to have another cluster**** before he finds some form again. Would be handy to get it out of the way in the fa cup.

Not sure we are talking about the same goal, on the first one it's Silva that plays the ball in and Henderson is the one marking Sane.

I am a fan of Trent but I think he has been affected by the Trent Hype train somewhat, I hope he rediscovers his mojo, he has been putting in so so performances for awhile now or so it seems to me
