Not a huge fan of Lovren but he has improved when Virgl is beside him. He was atrocious yesterday but Matip and Fab were just as bad. They all looked rusty as **** and got the run around. I'm happy to have Dejan as 4th choice CB.. not so sure if he see it that way though.

Hmmm I’m with Frank on this one- he was clearly joking about “calling it”.

Dee’s argument about him being a good player cos he was part of the squad that accomplished what we have, is nonsense- Moreno was part of the squad too, doesn’t mean he’s up to the standard that we need.

I think Lovren is a good defender 90% of the time, maybe 95% but you know that he always has a comical mistake in him, which could cost us. He would start in prob 16/17 teams in the PL, but I don’t think he’s up to our standards. He’s been a half decent player for us, but as we’ve improved the squad over the last few years, he’s become the weakest link, in the center back position.

If Klopp wanted to bring in another quality centerback, it would make sense to get rid of one. I would rate Gomez and Matip above Lovren, so as I say, I’m with Frank- it’s better to sell him in the Summer than pay him 100k a week for another year and have him leave for free, when his contract expires!
