No difference between Coates & Lovren imo both terrible at positional play

Havent seen much of Ilori but the odd occasion I have watched him he has looked quick which is a big thing for a centrehalf and can help when you are isolated out wide

Sakho was Agger's replacement. Lovren was Sakho's replacement cos Brendan didn't/doesn't rate him. That's from Tony Barrett.

These two posts sum up the craziness of the situation Sakho, Ilori, Lovren all brought in in the last 18 months, before that we had Coates here. Those 4 cost £53m and at present have played 63 PL games between them. Two of them (Coates and Ilori) have so little experience we don't know what they have to offer. Lovren doesn't appear good enough, while Sakho seems the best option, if what G and Tony Barrett say is true is seems we also have/had doubts over him.

For £53m we should have have got the CB positions sorted with two quality players. Instead we have spent all that money and Skrtel is still our best CB.

That's a criminal amount of money to have spent on 4 defenders with only one of them looking remotely up to the job
