Main one for me is Klopp is quiet happy for defenders to defend and use the ball if they can, Rodgers wanted defenders to pass at all times and he wasn't comfortable with that.

We now fairly regularly see our defenders just smash it clear when we're under pressure, he feels more comfortable in his role so the confidence shows in his decision making.

Lovren's turnaround has been staggering, confirms Rodger's lack of judging the ability of a defender and Klopp's simpler philosophy when it comes to defending.

I agree, it made things so easy for the opposition, ball comes from Mig to Skrtel to Mig to Lovren to Skrtel to Mig to Gerrard to Mig to Skrtel to Lovren etc.

This was the reason we were so easy to press, it's clearly something Klopp stopped them doing. I think the number one fator for Lovren was clarity of role, that in turn breeds confidence.
      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Does it? Surely it confirms that he is a good judge of player, but just has no idea how to use them.

Yeah, he signed Lovren as a leader at the back and instructed him (and the whole defence) to play it short and on the deck. Traits Lovren doesn't excel at.

If he'd signed Dejan and asked him to do the things Klopp asks him to do then great. He didn't though.

Oh ok. I get you. You mean more his ability to spot what a defender is good at. Yeah, he wasnt good at that one

              Aye, that's the one.

Remember all those increasing desperate and frantic passes between Mignolet and Dejan under Rodgers? Heaping tonnes of pressure on themselves which usually resulted in a sliced clearance or a pass to the opposition.

I do love a player that turns his form around. Credit to Klopp also.

There were a couple of dodgy positional moments early doors but he settled and looked fairly assured.

I still think we can do better than him but credit where it's due he's been excellent the last couple of games.

I thought he started a bit nervously but he def grew into the game. I'd keep him as a back up as he can cover both sides but I really hope we try to build a partnership this summer and leave them play an extended number of games together with a proper goalkeeper.

Also, he's playing RCB instead of LCB, which always made more sense being right footed. Remember how he used to play with his left even though he's right footed?

No Skrtel must be a significant contributing factor..

I thought both CB's were quite poor for about the first 40 mins and were getting bullied too easily, even in the air by Bolasie. Lovren then had a good 5 mins, winning about 4 headers in quick succession, then kicked on from there and had an excellent 2nd half.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He's actually not too bad on his left, certainly one of our better players but yes I agree, looks much more comfortable on the right.

As mentioned he's doing the basics well and looks a lot better and more of a leader. That tackle yesterday was brilliant and reminds of Gerrard's tackle on Jagielka years back when he munched him.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
