Not sure about him being off, but I agree Sakho is the best defender, or would be if he didn't have a brain fart in him every game. His passing is great, and he's skillful without looking like being. There's just too many times when he makes the wrong, and arguably more difficult decision. If he could cut that out of his game he'd be a world beater
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Nah not harsh, he gets in to some amazing positions but never seems to convert, which is weird because he's brilliant in the air at the other end!

I slagged him off to high heaven and completely wrote him off.

This is brilliant to see. As Chris said in another thread, they look an actual partnership which is most of the battle when it comes to your CBs.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Aye I think it's a fair point too. I know it's not a part of their job description but for all Skrtel's faults, he's been reasonable for notching a few goals from corners etc and Lovren and Sakho never seem offer any sort of threat. Lovren gets into positions and fluffs them, whereas Sakho never even seems to get a sniff. Room for improvement there.

It's a good weapon to have if possible, lost count of the number of times I've watched Chelsea for example be absolute **** over the years but they won because Terry or Cahill scored.

Where did it all go wrong?

Hopefully Lovren will pick up some tips from Matip..

Defintely. Matip is the main guy at Schalke for attacking corners. If he comes in and becomes a starter, which I think is likely, then we should have a legitimate threat from corners.

Lovren missing headers can be improved on of course, but Sakho never seems to win an aerial duel when attacking - so frustrating because they're great in the air at the back.

Lovren & Sakho were outstanding last night against a world class attack. Completely agree with what people are saying about them adding a few goals from set pieces. Every time we have a set piece or corner, I hardly pay attention I know we'll do **** all from it. Likes of Terry & Vidic were fantastic for that, scoring 4 or 5 per season, makes a massive difference.

Hopefully it'll come with Matip being such a beast.

Utterly transformed from a season ago, most of us wrote him off - I know I definitely did -and he's proved us wrong. F*cking love it. Best performance in a Liverpool shirt last night.

Sakho was also brilliant but had the usual few Sakho 'moments' when passing out from defence etc. He can pick a great pass but he can also frequently pass it straight into an opposing team member.

Yeah totally wrote him off myself. I think all of all CB's have a clanger in them but yeah credit to Lovren, I wouldn't say i'm totally convinced yet but you have to give the guy some credit for his improvement.... long may it continue.

Post 1281, someone predicted him to have a good season.

I wonder if he'll ever kick a ball and not end up slicing it?
