Yeah maybe so and gets to wound upOriginally posted by Irishnev View PostOne of Lovren's biggest problems is that he plays the occasion/opponent rather than the game of football. The bigger the opponent/occasion the more he tries to dominate. I think he wanted to physically dominate Kane and tried to be overly aggressive in his play - second goal being a prime example by attacking a ball he could never win. And as many have said one mistake and his head goes to pieces.
Johnny Giles used to commentate on Irish tv years ago and he always said to take each game, part of the game in its merits and Lovren doesn't do that.
Does not concentrate on the actual game he is playing in.
Think it has shown we need to move him on now though

Always better to let a player run down his contract and lose him for nothing I findOriginally posted by Bender View PostSo much so he got a new contract
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Its going to cost us more to get rid of him though, We will be paying the majority of his wages for the next 5 years while on loan.Originally posted by Fierce View PostAlways better to let a player run down his contract and lose him for nothing I find

Well, in this instance...Originally posted by Fierce View PostAlways better to let a player run down his contract and lose him for nothing I find
£100k pw though? I think Luiz at Chelsea and a couple of the City CB's are the only defenders in the league who get paid more than Lovren. How did that happen, were we really that worried about losing him?
Good luck to us finding takers for him at that rate, if we ever do actually bring in improvements..

Well, we'd have worked out the deal is worth approx £26m and valued the player at the same or higher, therefore the contract protects the asset. Thing is he's barely a £2m player on Sunday's form. So to protect that around £8grand a month.Originally posted by Pepe79 View PostWell, in this instance...

We've massively overvalued and are overpaying him..

Absolute dickheads. He is **** but he doesn't deserve that kind of personal abuse. Embarrassing really.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

It's WRONG TOTALLY...And this extends to all fans from all clubs world wide...but this is what social media[all platforms] has created be it from you phone or computer or at Stadiums. Football is an ugly business now.Originally posted by labourRed View PostWell, there is a precedence set for these kinds of things. That should result in a sentencing - club should dole out a ban for life as well. 'kin keyword warriorism.

There are some absolute morons out there and it is so difficult for players to balance interaction via social media vs dealing bull**** like that. It is obviously some keyboard warrior but that would unsettle me as a player and you'd need v thick skin to let all that go over your head.
Better off not having a social media presence than dealing with clowns like that.
