Top 2 are nailed on already IMO.

Below that I think it's incredibly hard to call. We could easily finish anywhere from 3rd to 5th.

Dont think they are nailed down. People had us nailed on for 5th place last year and Chelsea to challenge the whole way through.

In reality Chelsea were toothless and we were awesometastic.
      *Except Michael, who died.

        Hopefully.

I would prefer not an alternative to Sturridge, but a striker that's possibly even better, and to play alongside on an almost weekly basis.

Someone proven over time, that every team knows and fears.

Would cost us decent money obvioulsy, but i believe it's worth it on and off the field.

3rd, or better. City and Chelsea will be consistent as always.

Arsenal always "improve" but always bottle it.

Man U won't be consistent enough for me, but will probably nick 4th of the Arse.

Our young players have much more experience now, squad is bigger and will cope with CL and rotation for other cup or games against lower teams. Also, without Suarez we'll play more like the way Brendan wants us to, rather than changing to fit the ridiculously exciting attacking game we played last year. We'll let way fewer goals in this season, so won't have to do a Brazil every game.

          I'm excited.

I suspect the title is there for City to lose again, they still have the squad to beat and in Kompany, Toure and Aguero (when fit) a tremendous spine to the team.

We'll hopefully be in the mix again, proviso being we need another striker and to sort out the fullbacks.

                I'm predicting 3rd.

                  Prediction:
Liverpool will finish top 4 - a more solid defence than last year, but less potent up front.
City will be the most consistent team and win most games.
Chelsea will blow hot or cold all season depending on how Maureen is feeling - and how many times the press either blow smoke up his arse or hang him out to dry.
Utd will self-combust under Van Gaal and he'll lose the dressing room by trying to be too much of a hard-ass in Fergie's image. 'Van Gaal time' will become the new 'Fergie time' but with a plastic, melted frown
Arsenal will look great on paper and in warm sunshine at the start of the season, then lose every away game north of Watford when it's cold and rainy. Wenger still didn't see it.
Tottenham will continue to buy players according to how they perform on FIFA15
Everton will spend most of next season open-mouthed gawping at the 70ft Martinez on the side of Goodison.

If we don't get another decent striker in we'll struggle to finish top 4.

Lambert has looked badly off the pace in pre-season and isn't suited to a full 90 mins in a Rodgers team.

                      Hopefully we'll avoid relegation.

I think this year's title race could be even closer than last year's though at the moment you'd have to think that Man City and Chelsea are the early favourites. I think a lot depends on which team can get their stikers fit and firing.

Unfortunately for us, we know that Sturridge is likely to miss parts of the season and it's questionable whether we will have anyone in reserve to take his place. But then it's the same for the other teams.

Aguero seems to miss a lot of games and Negredo seems to be unsettled. A lot could depend on whether Jovetic can finally get fit and start scoring goals.

Costa is new to the league for Chelsea and will need to settle quickly. I wonder how much of an impact a much older Drogba can have and we all hope that we can keep laughing at Torres.

Arsenal don't really have a 20 goal striker in their ranks. Giroud won't score enough goals and Alexis too is new to the league.

Van Persie is capable of scoring lots of goals but again misses lots of games. If he can stay fit for the whole season then I can see him and Rooney scoring plenty which will make them contenders for the top 4.

I think a whole lot depends on goals scored from midfield and other attacking players from each team.

I really do think that we can win it, but we have to make sure we get into that top 4 again!

As it stands, I'd say 5th or 6th.

Really not impressed with whats happened this summer to be honest, the money we've spent could've transformed the starting 11, but instead we seem to have purchased prospects (Lallana aside, I think he'll do well), and spent just £4m on Lambert filling the hole left by Suarez (I know he's not a Suarez replacement as such, but one striker out and one in). Its a huge risk this by Rogers, absolutely massive and if it backfires this season there will be some huge questions to be asked. This is live and die by the sword territory here with the expenditure likely to hit or even exceed £100m by the time the season starts.

Man Utd will be back in the top 4, their pre season couldn't have gone better for them. I don't take pre season games to mean anything at all individually, but they've beaten some decent sides this summer and that will do wonders for their confidence, LVG is a top manager and the break from the CL will do them wonders. Arsenal will finish ahead of us into 4th I think.

There is just under a month of the window left.
