His energy, buzz and athleticism is an asset to a team that is mainly pedestrian but I 100% mirror the opinion that he is so wasteful in attack. He can never beat the first man with his crossing. And he's usually our best outlet too.

And since when did he become our free kick taker?

I Iike Moreno and his all action style. Suits well to the pressing that Klopp favours. He is a modern full back and is well complemented with someone like Clyne on the right who's also excellent but in a more steady way.
Of course in Klopp's system we are looking to play with "modern" fullbacks. Clyne does this perfectly in the sense that he is a solid and consistent defender but also makes bursting runs up the right flank, his crossing could improve though.

Moreno makes bursting runs up the left flank, gets in some cracking positions & his crossing could improve also but he is a poor defender... there is no getting around that one IMO. He is playing absolutely identical to when he was at Sevilla.

He's a bit headless at times and lacks defensive positional sense, so IMO that's why he makes so many defensive errors or switches off. I much prefer him in an attacking role and away from the defensive responsibilities, as he does have that positive drive and energy you need from a winger.

He is a mixed bag, but he is improving and he is Young, unfortunately he errors as do all LBs tend to lead to big problems in general.

Thought at times against Arsenal he was brilliant ... and then switched off at really the wrong times ...
Overall I am happy with the direction he going

Think I saw he had the most touches of anyone yesterday for better or worse.

He's really industrious, has a great engine and directness, but we need to something happen, for him to get away with being, well not that great at defending, he needs to return more upfront, I know he's creating many chances but he's also wasting a lot of good moves and balls. Maybe this will come and he'll turn into a world beater.with time though, he's young still.

I think this will come with experience.

I don't think he'll ever be good at defending, but if he can add goals and assists at the other end of the pitch & we can tighten up at the back a bit... happy days.

I think Klopp needs to get the whole ****ing team together to practice crosses & set pieces though, poxy standard.

I like Moreno but neither he nor Clyne are tall or particularly good in the air, which causes us a few issues on set-pieces. I think we need to look at having one fullback that is capable in the air and as I think Clyne is the better of the two, I'd look at bringing in a taller, more dominant left back.

Not sure that I think that fullback height is the main problem. The fact is that since Hyypia left we have not had a single aerially dominant CB.

Currently we have very little cohesion or stability in the centre and consequently many facets of defense are bad. To me the problems with our fullbacks are largely fallout from issues at GK, CB and when Lucas is not in the team DM.

The more 'energetic' your fullbacks the more important it is to have a stable and well organized platform in the centre.

Full backs not being tall isn't a problem at all. Weird thing to say. How many tall left backs do you get? The tallest I think of we ever had was Markus Babbel, who was initially a centre back but was converted as a right back because he had that versatility with him.

You don't necessarily associate height with full backs, because they need to be mobile and have a very good engine, things that you don't normally see in taller players.

I don't think height is an issue with us not defending crosses properly. It's more to do with the goalkeeper dominating his area, whether by organising it properly and having a few leaders in there. Then to try and block crosses coming into areas too much, which ironically is an issue which fullbacks can help with.

Has this club ever had another full back so inept at defending ??

I honestly can't think of one good tackle or defensive maneuver that this joke of a full back has done in 18 months.
