He's never going to be a good defender but if he can keep contributing up the pitch then it will balance things out a bit. **** defender but decent player and goal should have stood. His attempted tackle for the second goal sums him up as a defender.

He's done many excellent tackles. Now and then one may go awry. But he had 2 defenders behind him who should have cleaned up without any issue.

Before his recent Klopp inspired improvement I made a comment about Moreno being a brain fart. After that idiotic attempt at an interception prior to their second goal I stand by my earlier opinion.

He's frustrating with his crosses but apart from that he's pretty good. Move him on for whom?

He's all action so it's easy to like him but he generally achieves **** all with it. Contrast that with someone like Milner who's quietly efficient but gets no praise.

He's the best we have there though. If he had Brad Smiths end product he'd be great in the attacking third but defensively he's suspect too bar the odd great saving tackle.

He was very poor defensively again & even though he gets in great positions up the left flank, his crossing is awful time. It's frustrating because he does seem like he has a nice strike of a ball too... just no direction on the ****er.

Had a chat on here yesterday about him and stands true. Defensively positioning is so poor, seems to have lapses in key areas, great energy, gets in great positions up the left side but so wasteful in great positions. IMO should only be played in an attacking capacity but also if he is played that high up... his delivery needs to drastically improve. Like to see Smith given a few games at some point, has a lovely left foot and can't be any worse defensively.

That's the thing with full backs though. It's a difficult position. Remember how Glen Johnson used to get stick?

I Iike Moreno and his all action style. Suits well to the pressing that Klopp favours. He is a modern full back and is well complemented with someone like Clyne on the right who's also excellent but in a more steady way.

He is an all action player and I think that sometimes means he gets rushes of blood to the head, if we can get him to be more calm and considered in the final third he could be a really good player for us. Yesterday he had some great chances to score and got into some good positions for delivering dangerous balls, a little more composure and he could have scored a few.
